iPad Mini goes on sale for the first time in India: Pricing and Specs details

It will be compatible with Apple Intelligence features when Apple releases them progressively.

Last week, Apple officially unveiled the brand-new iPad Mini (2024), also known as the iPad Mini 7, in India and throughout the world. For the first time in the nation, the small slate went on sale today. The A17 Pro chipset, which not only boosts speed but also gives the small slate Apple Intelligence capabilities, is one of the notable upgrades in the most recent version.

The price of the iPad Mini (2024) starts at Rs 49,900 for the 128GB storage model. The price of the cellular model is set at Rs 64,900. There is a 256GB Wi-Fi model which costs Rs 59,900, similarly, the cellular model with the same storage will set up at Rs 74,900. Lastly, the 512GB Wi-Fi and Cellular variants come with a price tag of Rs 79,900 and Rs 94,900 respectively.

iPad Mini (2024) Specs, Features

The iPad Mini (2024) has an Apple 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display with 1,488×2,266 pixels of resolution. The screen features a pixel density of 326ppi and a peak brightness of 500 nits. The display supports the P3 colour gamut.

Apple’s iPad Mini (2024) is powered by the A17 Pro processor, which has a hexa-core CPU with two performance and four efficiency cores, as well as a five-core GPU. It runs iPadOS 18 and will ultimately have Apple Intelligence capabilities.

The iPad Mini (2024) features a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera with f/1.8 aperture, autofocus, and Smart HDR 4 capability. It can record 4K video at 60fps and 1080p slow-motion video at 240fps. On the front, it sports a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with f/2.4 aperture, Smart HDR 4, and Centre Stage support.

Two microphones and stereo speakers are included with the iPad Mini (2024). For connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, 5G, 4G LTE, and GPS. The gadget has a USB 3.0 Type-C connection with DisplayPort, a barometer, gyroscope, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and Touch ID fingerprint scanner. It also supports Apple’s Touch ID fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.

The 19.3Wh Li-Po battery in Apple’s iPad Mini (2024) allows for up to 10 hours of online surfing or Wi-Fi video playing, while the cellular version can last up to 9 hours; however, there is no information on charging speeds.
