iQOO 13’s Price Tag Leaked Ahead Of Its Launch

Next-gen flagship might outshine—and outprice—its predecessor.

The iQOO 13 price leak has set the tech world abuzz just days before its official launch in India on December 3. According to a tipster, Mukul Sharma, the upcoming flagship might come with a heftier price tag than its predecessor, potentially costing over Rs 55,000. This has raised eyebrows among smartphone enthusiasts who are eager to see how iQOO justifies the bump.

A Costlier Successor?

While the iQOO 12 debuted at Rs. 52,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, Sharma suggests that the base model of the iQOO 13 will be priced under Rs. 55,000. This indicates a slight increase, making it one of the more expensive options in its segment. Bank and introductory offers are expected, which might soften the blow for eager buyers.

Cutting-Edge Specifications

Under the hood, the iQOO 13 is one of the first devices to feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, promising top-tier performance. Coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, this smartphone is geared towards power users and gamers alike.

144Hz AMOLED Display

The device boasts a 6.82-inch 2K BOE Q10 8T LTPO AMOLED display with a smooth 144Hz AMOLED display refresh rate and HDR support. This should make for an impressive visual experience, whether you’re gaming or streaming your favourite shows.

Triple 50-Megapixel Cameras

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the triple rear camera setup, each lens packing 50-megapixel triple cameras. This includes a primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), a telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide-angle shooter with OIS. The front-facing camera doesn’t skimp either, offering a 32-megapixel sensor for sharp selfies.

Robust Battery and Fast Charging

Powering all this is a sizable 6,000mAh battery with 120W charging support. That means less time plugged in and more time enjoying your new device. The phone also features an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for quick and secure access.

Durability and Connectivity

With IP68 water resistance, the iQOO 13 offers dust and water protection, adding a layer of durability that’s increasingly important in premium smartphones. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.

Software and Long-Term Updates

Running on Android 15 with the OriginOS 5 skin, the iQOO 13 is confirmed to receive four major Android version upgrades and Android 15 updates for five years. This long-term support is a significant commitment, ensuring the device stays current for years to come.

Competition Heats Up

The iQOO 13 will be competing with heavyweights like the Vivo X200 and OnePlus 13. With its high-end specs and potentially higher price, it will be interesting to see how it stacks up in India’s crowded flagship market.

While the iQOO 13 promises impressive specs and features, the rumoured price hike might give potential buyers pause. In a market where value for money is key, will consumers be willing to shell out extra for the latest and greatest? Only time will tell.
