iQOO 15 goes on sale today in India: Price, specs

The new gaming device offers 5+7 years of software upgrades.

iQOO 15, launched recently in India, is all set to go on sale for the first time. The device comes with an introductory bank discount and additional offers. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 CPU. It features a 6.85-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED LTPO display. The phone operates on OriginOS 6.0 out of the box and packs a 7,000mAh battery.

Price in India, launch offers

iQOO 15 will be available for purchase in India today onwards at a starting price of Rs 72,999 for the base variant featuring 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The 16GB RAM and 512GB storage are priced at Rs 79,999. It will be available in two premium colour options: matte black Alpha Edition and Legend Edition in white, featuring the new tricolour rhombus pattern inspired by motorsport racing flags. The device will be on sale via Amazon and iQoo’s official website in the country at 12 PM.

Customers purchasing the iQOO 15 may take advantage of a discount of INR 7,000, which is accessible through special deals from select banks like ICICI, Axis, and HDFC, or as an exchange offer. Customers can additionally benefit from no-cost EMI plans lasting up to 24 months. Eligible purchasers can additionally receive an additional Rs 1,000 discount using a coupon.

Specifications, Features

The phone comes with a 6.85-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED LTPO display offering 2K resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate. The panel supports 2,600 nits peak brightness, 2160 Hz PWM and DC dimming. Also, there is HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. The device comes with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for screen unlocking. The phone has IP68/IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance and highlights a square-design rear camera island with RGB lighting.

The handset runs on Android 16-based OriginOS 6.0 out of the box. The company has promised to provide 5+7 years of software upgrades. Under the hood, there is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 paired with Adreno GPU and Q3 gaming chip. It comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. It features an improved NPU performance by up to 37 per cent and incorporates an 8K VC Cooling System for efficient thermal management, with a heat dissipation area of 8,000 sq mm.

For the photos and videos, the device has a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 primary 1/1.56-inch sensor with OIS support. Furthermore, there is a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom capability and OIS. Next, there is a 50-megapixel ultrawide-angle lens helpful in taking group pictures. Lastly, up front, there is a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

The mobile phone is driven by a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging support. In terms of connectivity, there is Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and dual-band GPS.
