In February of this year, iQoo 9 made its debut in India. The gaming smartphone was released in two colour options by Vivo’s sub-brand. The company has now released a third Phoenix Orange model of the device. There is no change in the specification which includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+, 120Hz AMOLED display and a ‘Gimbal’ triple rear camera set up.

The iQoo 9 was released earlier this year in two colour options: Legend and Alpha. It has now released its third colour variant, Phoenix, which includes colour-changing technology. The new colour variant is priced at Rs 42,990 for the 8GB RAM with a 128GB storage option. Whereas the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage option will be available at Rs 46,990. The latest colour variant is now up for sale at iQoo India website and on Amazon.
iQoo 9 specifications and features
The iQoo 9 Phoenix Orange colour variant is said to be made with geometric craft on Frosty AG Glass. It transforms into different colours when exposed to direct sunlight and other UV rays.
A 6.78-inch 2K E5 AMOLED LTPO display comes standard with the iQoo 9. It has 3D curved glass protection, a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of storage, and runs on Android 12 based Funtouch OS 12.
The iQoo 9 Pro has a triple-camera array on the back, with a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GN5 main sensor and ‘Gimbal’ technology with optical image stabilisation (OIS). A 50-megapixel 150-degree fisheye wide-angle lens and a 16-megapixel portrait sensor with 2.5x optical zoom are also included. The camera system on the iQoo 9 Pro is equipped with five-axis video image stabilisation (VIS) technology. For selfies and video calls, there’s also a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor with an f/2.45 lens.
The device also has a 4,700mAh battery and supports rapid charging with 120W FlashCharge and 50W Wireless FlashCharge. A 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor is also included.
