Lava Play Max 5G with 5000mAh battery launched in India

The device is claimed to provide smooth gameplay for popular titles, including COD Mobile and BGMI.

The Lava Play Max 5G was released in India today, powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor. The smartphone features a 6.72-inch display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a 50-megapixel back camera, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It can charge a 5,000mAh battery with 33W and has an IP54 grade for dust and water protection. The gadget comes in two colour variants.

The Lava Play Max 5G has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 12,999 for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant. The price of the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage model is set at Rs 14,999. The handset will be available in two colour options: Deccan Black and Himalayan White.

The Lava Play Max 5G features a 6.72-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. It also features an IP54 classification, which indicates resistance to dust and water, giving increased protection for everyday usage.

The Play Max is powered by a 2.5GHz MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, which allows for speedy app loading, smooth transitions, and economical battery life. Its VC Cooling technology keeps temperatures stable throughout multitasking and gaming, enabling smooth gameplay for popular titles such as COD Mobile and BGMI. The device supports LPDDR4X RAM of up to 16GB (in an 8GB+8GB configuration) and 12GB (in a 6GB+6GB configuration), as well as 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage, enabling smooth app switching without latency. It also runs on clean Android 15, which provides a bloat-free experience by removing advertisements, unnecessary preloaded apps, and annoying notifications.

The Play Max includes a 50MP AI camera with Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) for reliable picture taking, as well as an 8MP front-facing selfie camera. It enables 4K video recording at 30 frames per second.

A 5000mAh battery combined with 33 W fast charging technology ensures long battery life and consistent all-day performance for smartphones.
