Lava Shark 5G with a 5,000mAh battery launched in India

The smartphone comes with a 90Hz refresh rate.

Lava India today unveiled a brand new smartphone, the Lava Shark 5G. The smartphone is equipped with an AI-powered 13-megapixel primary rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. It runs on a 6nm octa-core Unisoc T765 chipset. It comes pre-installed with the Android 15 operating system. The gadget is dust and splash-resistant, according to IP54 standards.

Lava Shark 5G Price in India, Availability

The price of Lava Shark 5G in India is set at Rs 7,999 for the base 4GB RAM with 64GB storage option. The handset will be available in two colour options- Stellar Blue and Stellar Gold. The sale begins across retail outlets and the Lava e-store in India on May 23.

Lava Shark 5G Specifications

The Lava Shark 5G features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with 720×1,600 pixels of resolution. The panel supports a refresh rate of 90Hz and has an aspect ratio of 20:9. The handset has a glossy back panel and an IP54 dust and splash-resistant design. The phone runs on Android 15 out of the box. Under the hood, there is an octa-core 6nm Unisoc T765 SoC paired with 4GB RAM with an additional 4GB of virtual RAM expansion support. It also has 64GB storage, which can also be expanded further to up to 1TB using a microSD card.

Apart from that, the Lava Shark 5G features an AI-backed 13-megapixel dual rear camera, a secondary sensor and an LED flash, along with a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.

The connectivity options include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, a USB Type-C connector, and a 3.5mm port. It includes a fingerprint sensor on the side for authentication. The Shark 5G has a 5,000mAh battery and 18W wired charging capabilities. However, the firm only offers a 10W charger in the box.
