The homegrown company Lava Mobiles is all set to launch its new line up of smartphones on January 7 in India. The company has also begun sending out invitations for the upcoming event in which it will be introducing all Made In India smartphones and Lava BeU is one to be also included in the list. The company will be launching a total of five devices along with a wereable. Apart from BeU which already got listed on the official website, the rest of the names of the devices are not yet confirmed.
The company top executive Sunil Raina, President, and Business Head, Lava Mobiles took to Twitter to make this announcement also to send out the invitation for January 7 launch event which also included hashtags such as #abduniyadekhegi and #ProudlyIndian. . Along with the tweet a short video has also been shared which says, “I invite you to witness something that has never happened in the smartphone industry before. Never before has smartphone engineering been so evolved and dynamic, thanks to our talented engineers. Tune in to the live webcast of history in the making. I promise what follows will make you feel proudly Indian.”
According to the invite, the Lava Made in India smartphones launch will take place on January 7 and will kick off at 12 noon onwards. Thanks to coronavirus it is going to be a virtual launch event that will be live-streamed via the company’s official YouTube Channel. The live event will also be webcasted on the company’s official social media channels including Facebook and Twitter.

Lava BeU that has already been listed on the company’s official website along with the other four smartphones is going to be priced ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 15,000.
The Lava BeU price in India has been set at Rs 6,999 for the single 2GB RAM with 32GB of storage option. The Lava BeU is confirmed to feature a 6.08-inch HD+ display with 720×1,560 pixels along with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass. The smartphone will run on the Android 10 Go edition and will be powered by an octa-core SoC(unnamed) clocked at 1.6GHz. The device will be available in a single 2GB of DDR4 RAM with 32GB of onboard storage which can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card.
In optics, Lava BeU will come with a dual rear camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.85 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary lens. On the front, there is a water drop-style notch that houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture.
The device is backed by a 4,060mAh lithium polymer battery which is touted to last for 16 hours of talk time on a single charge. For connectivity, there is 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
