Lava Yuva 4 Debuts With 50MP Camera And 90Hz Display At Rs 6,999

A budget smartphone that doesn't skimp on features.

In a move that’s sure to shake up the entry-level smartphone market in India, Lava International has launched the Yuva 4—a budget smartphone with a 50MP camera—starting at an eye-catching price of Rs 6,999. Unveiled today in New Delhi, the Yuva 4 aims to offer premium features without the premium price tag, catering especially to first-time smartphone users. We recently also reviewed the Lava Agni 3, which is the company’s dual display offering that you might want to check out.

Powered by the UNISOC T606 chipset, the Yuva 4 promises robust performance across all applications. It comes with 4GB of RAM, expandable by an additional 4GB of virtual RAM, and offers storage options of 64GB and 128 GB. Running on the latest Android 14, users can expect a clean and intuitive interface with assured upgrades and security updates.

One of the standout features is its 16.55 cm (6.56-inch) HD+ punch-hole display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. This affordable 90Hz display phone ensures a vibrant and fluid viewing experience, whether you’re streaming videos or scrolling through social media. The device is backed by a hefty 5,000mAh battery, promising extended usage without frequent charging interruptions.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the Yuva 4’s camera setup. The rear boasts a powerful 50MP camera, while the front features an 8MP shooter—perfect for capturing stunning photos and selfies with ease. The smartphone also sports a premium glossy back design and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for added security. Available in three attractive colour variants—Glossy White, Glossy Purple, and Glossy Black—the phone is as stylish as it is functional.

Lava’s retail-first strategy means the Yuva 4 will be available at retail outlets starting this month, allowing consumers to get a hands-on experience before purchasing. Priced competitively, the Lava Yuva 4’s price of ₹6,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant makes it a strong contender in the entry-level smartphone India segment.
