Microsoft has announced the availability of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26220.7051 for the Dev and Beta Channels. This version includes Ask Copilot, which allows users to access Copilot Vision and Voice straight from the taskbar, resulting in more seamless interactions. In addition, a new Shared Audio option is being tested, which allows two devices to play the same audio concurrently. The update also improves the full-screen experience (FSE) on some handheld gaming PCs.
Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26220.7051 (KB5067115) is now available on both the Dev and Beta channels. Starting today, customers in the Beta Channel will get updates for Windows 11, version 25H2. Insiders who are presently in the Dev Channel can switch to the Beta Channel at this time, as both channels offer the same updates. However, this option will only be available until the Dev Channel is upgraded to a higher build number. After such an upgrade, switching is no longer feasible. Users are recommended to evaluate their channel option during the switch window, since stability may suffer if the Dev Channel is upgraded to a higher build number.
New features are progressively being introduced, like the “Ask Copilot” option in the taskbar. This integration positions Copilot as a vital part of the user’s PC experience, offering immediate aid, guidance, and cooperation as needed. The “Ask Copilot” feature provides users with an opt-in experience that grants them one-click access to both Copilot Vision and Voice features, allowing for more natural interaction within their workflow. Users may select how to communicate with Copilot, whether by text, voice, or guided support, giving them control over their interactions.

As users type, relevant results are shown and updated in real time, simplifying the information retrieval process. To utilise this option, go to Settings, then Personalisation, then Taskbar, and choose “Ask Copilot” to enable it. Users may also control the automatic startup of the Copilot app by enabling the “Auto start on login” option in the app’s settings. This feature attempts to improve the user experience by providing resources suited to individual preferences, making support easily accessible as part of daily tasks.
Following the initial release of the Full Screen Experience (FSE) for the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X, Microsoft has now expanded its availability to other Windows 11 handheld devices aimed at Windows Insiders. The FSE is intended to enhance handheld gaming by providing a console-style navigation system via the Xbox PC app. This includes a simplified, distraction-free interface that allows for seamless task transition and optimal performance. Background activities are reduced, and non-essential tasks are deferred, ensuring that gaming is responsive and continuous.
To enable FSE on compatible devices, go to Settings > Gaming > Full Screen Experience and choose Xbox as the home application. Once activated, FSE may be accessed through Task View and the Game Bar, or users can set their handheld devices to open FSE at startup.
FSE is now available for the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X, with a preview being sent out to MSI Claw models. Furthermore, more OEMs are aiming to allow this capability on their handheld gadgets in the upcoming months.
In this version, shared audio (preview) is being rolled out for Copilot+ PCs using Bluetooth LE Audio broadcast technology. This novel function allows two individuals, such as family members or students, to share audio experiences, such as watching movies or listening to music, together. To use this feature, users may go to the “Shared audio (preview)” tile in the quick settings menu, where they can pick two suitable linked accessories and start sharing by hitting the “Share” button.
