Moto G62 with 5,000mAh battery launched in India

Motorola has introduced yet another smartphone in its G-Series following the release of the Moto G32. The company has announced the Moto G62 which features a 120Hz display. The handset is powered by a Snapdragon 695 SoC and comes with Android 12 OS out of the box. Moreover, the device is fuelled by a 5,000mAh battery.

The Moto G62 will be available in India in two different configurations. The 6GB RAM with 128GB storage model will be available in the country at Rs 17,999. Whereas the price of the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage option is set at Rs 19,999. The phone will be offered in two colour options of Frosted Blue and Midnight Grey.

On August 19, Flipkart and other top offline retailers in India will start selling the smartphone. Buyers may instantly save 10% by using their HDFC Bank card to purchase the Moto G62. Along with a Rs 500 Myntra gift card and a Rs 549 discount on a Rs 5,049 annual subscription to Zee5. Jio is also running a promotion where customers may receive up to Rs. 4,000 cashback on recharges.

Moto G62 specifications

Moto G62 features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ LCD screen with 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution. The display has a 20:9 aspect ratio and supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone runs on Android 12 and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC. The device comes with up to 8GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card. ThinkShield mobile security and an IP52 grade for water and dust protection are included.

The Moto G62 boasts a triple-back camera configuration that includes a 50-megapixel main sensor and an f/1.8 aperture and Quad-pixel technology and PDAF are also added. There are two sensors: a 2-megapixel macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, the device has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

A 5,000mAh battery that supports 20W rapid charging is included in the device. The smartphone has dual-band Wi-Fi, 12 5G bands of 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth v5.1, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C as connectivity options. Onboard sensors include an e-compass, an accelerometer, a proximity sensor, a light sensor for ambient light, a fingerprint reader, and a proximity sensor. For biometric security, the phone incorporates a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Dual stereo speakers and dual microphones are characteristics of the Moto G62.
