Motorola is set to launch a brand new smartphone under its Edge Series today. Motorola Edge 50 Ultra will debut in the country. The upcoming device is an upgraded variant of Edge 50 Pro launched sometime back in the nation. The latest Edge series also includes Edge 50 Fusion. So Edge 50 Ultra is going to be the third smartphone to join the lineup featuring artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.
Motorola Edge 50 Ultra India launch is going to take place today at noon. The company has created a dedicated microsite on Flipkart to tease the availability and its key details ahead of the official announcement.
In India, Motorola has not yet made the Edge 50 Ultra’s price public. Notably, the price of its global version is EUR 999, or about Rs 89,000. Three colourways have been confirmed: the Pantone-validated Peach Fuzz, Forest Grey and a wood finish.

According to the landing page Edge 50 Ultra will come with a 6.7-inch 1.5K pOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 2500 nits and 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage. The screen will have an in-display fingerprint scanner and have Gorilla Glass Victus protection. In addition to this, it will include an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The phone is confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SOC with Moto AI support. In addition to this, it will include 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The company is promising to provide three years of OS upgrades and up to four years of security fixes.

Three rear cameras will be available on the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra: a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with a 3x optical zoom. It will include a 50-megapixel selfie camera up front. The camera system boasts AI capabilities like a 100x AI super zoom and AI adaptive stabilisation.
Up to 125W of wired and 50W of wireless fast charging are supported by the phone. 10W wireless power sharing will also be available on the smartphone
