Nazara launched the Bigg Boss mobile game

The new title is based on the iconic Endemol Shine India-produced reality show.

Nazara Technologies has announced the release of ‘Bigg Boss: The Game’, a mobile game based on the iconic reality program produced by Endemol Shine India and distributed globally by Banijay Rights. This game has been developed in partnership with Nazara’s UK-based narrative studio, Fusebox Games, which is known for crafting interesting mobile adaptations of popular reality formats such as Big Brother and Love Island. The game promises to provide an immersive experience that allows users to interact with the dynamic environment of the Bigg Boss house, hence increasing the franchise’s prominence in the mobile gaming industry.

Commenting on the launch, Nitish Mittersain, Jt MD & CEO of Nazara Technologies, said: “Bigg Boss is one of India’s strongest entertainment brands, and mobile is the most natural extension of that fandom. With Fusebox now part of Nazara, we have the capability to take proven reality formats, localise them for Indian audiences, and keep them alive through regular content updates. This is as much a business story as it is a creative one – we are showing how IP, an owned studio and a strong publishing layer can come together to create seamless, recurring gaming experiences.”

Bigg Boss: The Game follows closely the fundamental concepts of the conventional television format, in which contenders participate in a variety of competitive challenges while managing social dynamics. Within the game, participants create alliances, make task-related strategic decisions, and maintain their popularity in order to avoid being evicted. This interactive mobile game captures the drama, social strategies, and interpersonal issues associated with the Bigg Boss series. The Bigg Boss format is intrinsically episodic and renewed with each season; thus, the game may be updated on an ongoing basis. This feature enables it to develop into a long-lasting product, broadening its appeal beyond a single launch and boosting longevity in the entertainment industry.

The title debuted in English and Hindi, with subsequent releases in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bangla, Kannada, and Marathi to appeal to India’s regional entertainment fans. It will be available on both Android and iOS devices. The game is built for continuous, season-style content releases, ensuring its narratives remain consistent with developments in the related TV show.

The launch highlights Nazara’s IP-focused approach, which combines proven entertainment properties with in-house and acquired development capabilities. This approach seeks to reduce discovery costs and accelerate market entrance. Nazara builds an established audience by leveraging a well-known IP, such as Bigg Boss, which already has a large viewership and strong fan base. This enables the firm to investigate a variety of revenue options, such as in-app purchases, premium narrative pathways, limited-time tasks, and live events tied to the show’s airing schedule.
