Netgear launched Meural Canvas in India

Netgear has introduced a new Digital frame- Meural Canvas in India. It is a smart digital frame that can be hung on the wall with an electronic picture. The pic inside can be changed to different kinds of digital art. The Digital frame can be connected to the user’s smartphone that displays pictures and other digital arts on it.

The Meural Canvas is a patented TrueArt technology. The company claims that the device is a blend of hardware, software, and firmware that allows the digital frame to deliver a realistic viewing experience. This also includes a signature matte as well as an anti-glare display. The Meural Canvas can be controlled by hand gestures to browse individual artworks along with settings. As said, the product can be connected to the user’s smartphone via the Meural mobile app. It also comes with the support of Amazon’s voice assistant service, Alexa.

The new Digital frame- Meural Canvas is available in two large sizes, 27-inch original design, and a smaller 21.5-inch design. The company is offering a pre-paid 3-year membership. Through the membership, the user has the right to use a catalog of more than 30,000 images from various artists and institutions across the globe. According to the preference the images can be showcased on the 1080p screen of the device.

Commenting on the launch, Marthesh Nagendra, Country Manager India, NETGEAR commented, “With the launch of Meural, NETGEAR aims to bolster their state-of-the-art technology to bring art into every home across the world and to create lasting, fluid relationships between artists and art lovers.”

He also said “Meural Canvas is an innovative product that lets you combine art, design, and technology and customize the artwork in your home every day and match it to your mood, season or your décor”

The Meural mobile app can be connected to the local WIFI that is used to controls the digital frame, manages content, image duration, schedules, settings and image brightness for all canvases. The user can also upload their personal pictures at home or else distantly. Both the frames come equipped with WIFI abilities that support equally 2.4GHz and 5GHz bandwidths. The device comes with an increased RAM along with an automatic orientation that displays the pictures in vertical as well as horizontal modes.

Pricing and Availability:

The Netgear Meural Canvas frame is available in four colour variants black, white, light wood and dark wood. Buyers can purchase the digital canvas at a starting price of Rs 75,000 through official Netgear associates and other reseller channels.
