Nokia 6.2 to launch this spring, will cost similar to predecessor: Report

HMD Global launched a number of smartphones at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress 2019 that was held in Barcelona, Spain. However, a device that was expected to launch but didn’t is Nokia 6.2 smartphone. However, some reports have surfaced online which claim that Nokia 6.2 smartphone will now be getting launched in springtime this year.

Considering that Spring usually extends from March to June, we should expect the Nokia 6.2 smartphone to be launched very soon. However, since there is no formal confirmation, the launch timeline is speculative and we suggest you take it with a grain of salt.

This news comes from a tipster on Twitter by the name of ‘Nokia anew’ and he also claims that the device will be priced close to the cost of Nokia 6.1 smartphone. As we mentioned earlier, he also said that HMD Global will be launching its Nokia 6.2 will be unveiled by the company in the forthcoming spring season.

To recall, Nokia 6.1 smartphone was launched in India last year and its price started at Rs 16,999. As of now, the device is being sold at a discounted price of Rs 11,999 for the base variant that has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, and the high-end model that comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will cost Rs 13,999.

As of now, not much is known about the specifications of the Nokia 6.2 smartphone. According to reports, the Nokia 6.2 smartphone will come with a punch-hole display design, house a dual rear camera setup and be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 632 processor clubbed with 4GB or 6GB of RAM.

Speaking of Nokia 6.1 smartphone, it features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630 SoC. Although Nokia 6.1 mobile phone was launched with Android Oreo, it has been upgraded to Android Pie.

Nokia 6.1 smartphone sports a 16MP camera with Zeiss optics and a dual-tone LED flash. For selfies and video calls, there is an 8MP front-facing snapper. The smartphone comes with 32GB and 64GB internal storage and houses a 3,000mAh battery.
