Nothing Phone 2a confirmed to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC, renders leaked

Nothing’s CEO Carl Pei recently confirmed that its upcoming phone Nothing Phone 2a will be manufactured in India. Not many details related to design and key specs have been made public but pricing details and renders were leaked ahead of the March 5 official launch. But new design renders that speculate on the potential appearance of the smartphone have been leaked ahead of its unveiling. The phone’s chipset specifications have also been officially disclosed by the manufacturer.

According to a fresh renders leak, Nothing Phone 2a might have a twin camera configuration with a completely new camera module. Both the sensors will be placed inside a pill-shaped camera module at the back. With the aid of computer-aided design, or CAD, the representations were produced in 5K quality. The camera module can be seen arranged horizontally. Just like the previous module Glyph lights are supposed to be arranged around the camera module.

As per the leaks, it will be surrounded by three LED strips. Two of them appear to be curled and positioned on the left. Also, there will be a vertically straight strip positioned on the right. The vertically oriented company branding is visible towards the bottom-left corner.

It is anticipated that the Nothing Phone 2a will provide notable improvements over the Nothing Phone 1 and will be more reasonably priced than the Nothing Phone 2. The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC, a specially designed chipset that was solely co-engineered by MediaTek and the smartphone manufacturer, will power the Nothing Phone 2a, the company has officially confirmed.

Recently a tipster also shared the India pricing and key specs of Nothing Phone 2a ahead of launch. Nothing Phone 2a is likely to cost Rs 30,000 in India. The tipster further revealed that the device is expected to get a limited distribution in the US, where it will probably cost $400.

As said earlier the Key specs of the Nothing Phone 2a were also tipped alongside. The device is expected to run on Android 14 with NothingOS 2.5 out of the box. Lastly, the device is expected to come with a 6.7-inch full-HD+ OLED display that will support a 120Hz refresh rate.

Nothing Phone 2a is likely to feature a dual rear camera setup including a 50-megapixel primary and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens. Moreover, for selfies, it might include a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The battery capacity is unknown but it may charge at 45W wired fast charging.
