Nothing teased upcoming smartphone sketches, likely Nothing Phone 3

The sketches showcase a dual rear camera and transparent design.

After the release of the Nothing Phone 2, Nothing plans to release several smartphones, including a flagship model. The company has hinted at an upcoming product on social media, the Nothing Phone 3, which would have a transparent rear and dual back cameras. The phone, which is reportedly Nothing’s first AI-powered platform venture, is anticipated to launch in Q1 2025. The phone’s launch date is confirmed by the leaked email and teased photos. The Nothing Phone 3 may use the codename Arcanine, according to a previous teaser that included an image of the Arcanine Pokémon.

An image of the Arcanine Pokémon, which is thought to be a teaser for an upcoming device, was published by the company for the Nothing Phone 3. This confirms earlier rumours that the phone might have the codename Arcanine.

Nothing has posted several smartphone design sketches on X, with the word “WIP” perhaps signifying work in progress. The first sketch partially depicts a phone with a transparent back panel that has screws in place; it looks to have a dual rear camera unit and a transparent design, which has come to represent the company in recent years.

The rear cameras of the alleged phone are suggested by a sketch that shows two circles in a horizontal pill-shaped structure that resembles the camera unit of Nothing Phone 2a versions. It is unclear, meanwhile, if the gadget will use the company’s iconic Glyph interface because the complete rear cover is not visible.

According to a leaked email from a UK-based corporate official, the Nothing Phone 3 is scheduled to launch in Q1 2025. This follows reports that the British OEM would introduce three smartphones in 2025.

Evan Blass posted an alleged email from Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, outlining the company’s 2025 accomplishments and inventions. The email claims to have four billion users worldwide and to be the fastest-growing brand in the audio and smartphone industries. Pei says it has increased its software and camera teams by half. A “landmark” launch and the confirmation of Nothing’s next flagship phone, the Nothing Phone 3, which is expected to replace the Nothing Phone 2 and launch in Q1 2025, are also mentioned in the email.
