Nothing to host a launch event on March 5; mocks Apple’s special invite with graffiti

The company is likely to launch the rumoured Nothing Phone 4a series.

Nothing disclosed that there would be a launch event in early March, where the Nothing Phone 4a and Phone 4a Pro, as well as new headphones, might be launched. The UK-based firm hasn’t revealed any information yet, but they are teasing the new products and making fun of Apple’s invitation using graffiti. The news comes after Apple’s special event media invites for March 4 were released, where the iPhone 17e and new MacBook models are scheduled to be revealed.

Nothing to host a launch event on March 5; mocks Apple's special invite with graffiti

Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, announced on X that the company will hold a launch event on March 5. This event comes after the “Special Apple experience” event that will happen in London, New York, and Shanghai. Pei made significant modifications to Apple’s simple invitation by adding a bright pink, graffiti-style font that prominently displayed the Nothing brand name and changing the date to March 5, the day of the launch. This brazen move not only shows off the brand’s rebellious side, but it also puts Nothing’s event right next to a big Apple launch, which is smart.

There is no information about the release of the Nothing Phone 4a series, which might comprise the Phone 4a and Phone 4a Pro. These devices are likely to have UFS 3.1 storage, bigger batteries than the ones that came before them, 12GB of RAM, and Android 16. On Geekbench, the Pro model got a single precision score of 707, a half precision score of 1,077, and a quantised test score of 1,265. The standard model will come in black and white, and the Pro model will come in black and silver. The expected configurations will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There may also be a variety of colour options, such as blue, pink, and yellow. The launch is anticipated to take place in select global markets.

Apart from smartphones, Nothing intends to launch over-ear headphones called Nothing Headphone (a) in 2026, following the success of Nothing Headphone 1. This model aims to be an affordable alternative, available in four colours: black, pink, white, and yellow, with a projected price of EUR 159 in Europe and GBP 149 in the UK. Although not officially confirmed, it seems to be less feature-rich than the premium Headphone 1 (EUR 299). Earlier rumours stated that the new headphones would be a rebranded version of the Headphone 1, but given the substantial price difference, this seems improbable. Details on specifications are still unknown.
