Nubia Red Magic 3 gaming smartphone to launch in India today: Get all the details here

Nubia is all set to launch a smartphone for gamers in India today.

Nubia Red Magic 3 smartphone is all set to be launched in India today. The handset, that is aimed at gamers, was launched in April in China and it is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 855 SoC. The company is also offering an AMOLED display that has a refresh rate of 90Hz, so that gamers can get a better experience from the device. Nubia has also touted the Red Magic 3 to be the world’s first smartphone to come with a centrifugal fan for thermal management.

Among other key highlights of Nubia Red Magic 3 are its 48MP primary camera, a 16P selfie camera and a 5,000mAh battery. Last week, the company announced its partnership with Flipkart, so it is clear that the Red Magic 3 will be available exclusively on the website when it goes on sale. Nubia Red Magic 3 price

While the India price of Nubia Red Magic 3 is yet to be announced, we can take a good estimate from the handset’s cost in China. The smartphone is available in four storage variants in China – 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. The base variant of the device is priced at CNY 2,899, the 6GB RAM/128GB storage version costs CNY 3,199, the 8GB RAM model bears a price tag of CNY 3,499 and the most high-end one can be bought at CNY 4,299. So, the price of the smartphone starts at approximately Rs 29,200 and goes up to Rs 43,400.

As we mentioned earlier, the company announced its partnership with Flipkart last week, which means that Nubia Red Magic 3 will be available exclusively via the website.

Nubia Red Magic 3 specifications

The Nubia Red Magic 3 runs Android 9.0 Pie and has support for dual SIM cards. The handset features a 6.65-inch full-HD+ HDR AMOLED display that has a refresh rate of 90Hz and a brightness of 430 nits. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor, the smartphone comes with up to 12GB of RAM and has an internal storage of up to 256GB.

For imaging duties, there is a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor that has an f/1.7 aperture. The device has a 16MP sensor on the front panel that can be used for selfies and video calls.

The smartphone comes with dual front-firing stereo speakers as well as DTS:X and 3D sound technologies. The handset also has a customised RGB lighting and is preloaded with Red Magic’s light effects editor. The device houses a 5,000mAh battery and for connectivity, it comes with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
