OnePlus has stated that its upcoming OnePlus 15R smartphone would include a 32-megapixel selfie camera with focusing technology to eliminate fuzzy selfies. This model is expected to be the first in the R-series to enable 4K video recording. The launch event is scheduled for December 17 in Bengaluru, India, where the OnePlus Pad Go 2 will be unveiled.
OnePlus has been revealing new information on the smartphone’s display and camera features prior to its release.
The OnePlus 15R is said to include the most sophisticated selfie camera in the R Series, with a 32-megapixel sensor with focusing features to improve quality. It will also be the first in the R Series to allow 4K video recording at 30 fps for the front camera, an important improvement over the OnePlus 13R, which has a 16-megapixel selfie camera that can only record in 1080p.
The Detailmax Engine, which debuted with the OnePlus 15, is expected to be available in the next OnePlus 15R. This engine is slated to provide three enhanced camera features: Ultra Clear Mode, Clear Burst, and Clear Night Engine.

The OnePlus 15R will have a high-quality 1.5K AMOLED display, just like its flagship, the OnePlus 15. This display has a remarkable 165 Hz refresh rate, which improves the smoothness of on-screen graphics. The screen’s pixel density is tuned to 450 pixels per inch (PPI), resulting in outstanding visual clarity. Notably, the peak brightness reaches an impressive 1,800 nits, indicating excellent vision even in strongly bright environments. The display’s performance is further enhanced by a broad brightness range spanning from a low of 2 nits to a high peak of 1,800 nits, guaranteeing versatility across a variety of lighting settings.

The smartphone will also include the newest G2 Wi-Fi chip and a touch response chip, which will improve both connectivity and user experience.
It will have a 7,400 mAh battery. OnePlus promises that the battery will retain 80 per cent of its capacity after four years of operation.
