OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro launched in India with 55dB ANC, Bluetooth 6.0 and launch price of Rs 3,799

The Nord Buds 4 Pro are now available in India, with OnePlus targeting a common consumer desire: offering a feature-rich product that appears more expensive than it actually is. Released on March 19, these earbuds feature up to 55dB active noise cancellation, titanium-coated 12mm drivers, LHDC 5.0 support, Bluetooth 6.0, six microphones, and are priced at Rs 3,799. In a market where true wireless earbuds often make lofty promises but fall short during real-world use, this launch aims to address a practical question: how much high-end features can affordable earbuds realistically include?

OnePlus is betting on silence first, bass second

The main feature is noise cancellation. OnePlus states the Nord Buds 4 Pro can reduce up to 55dB of external noise within a 5000Hz noise reduction bandwidth, making it the highest in the Nord Buds series. They also have TÜV Rheinland certification for high-performance noise cancellation and offer adjustable ANC levels for lighter or stronger noise isolation based on your environment. Essentially, these earbuds are designed for challenging environments like flights, traffic, office noise, and loud calls on speakerphone.

Sound, meanwhile, gets the other half of the spotlight. The earbuds use 12mm titanium-coated dynamic drivers, and OnePlus says these drivers deliver 100 per cent more power than the previous Nord Buds 3 Pro. Support for LHDC 5.0 and Hi-Res wireless audio is meant to push them beyond basic streaming duty, while spatial audio is included for a wider and more immersive soundstage. There is also a dedicated gaming-focused spatial audio mode aimed at titles such as BGMI, Free Fire and Call of Duty, where directional cues can matter more than dramatic bass drops.

Smarter tricks, lighter fit

OnePlus has also updated the design and day-to-day usability. Each earbud weighs about 4.4g and carries an IP55 rating for sweat and splash resistance. The company has added slide controls for volume, which is one of those small upgrades that tends to feel much bigger after a week of use. Spotify Tap is onboard too, and users can trigger an AI assistant directly from the earbuds.

A more unusual addition is translation support. With select OnePlus phones running OxygenOS 15.0.1 or later, the Nord Buds 4 Pro can work with the HeyMelody app for real-time language translation, including languages such as English, Hindi, Spanish and French. That is not the kind of feature most buyers expect at this price, and while its real-world usefulness will depend on how polished the software feels, it certainly gives the earbuds a talking point beyond the usual battery-and-bass script.

Calls, connectivity and battery life matter too

For calls, the Nord Buds 4 Pro use six microphones, three in each bud, along with AI-backed call noise reduction. OnePlus says the system is designed to keep voice clarity intact even in windy conditions of up to 25km/h. That matters because a lot of earbuds sound impressive in product pages and then fold at the first gust of wind near a roadside crossing. Connectivity features include Bluetooth 6.0, dual-device connection, Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair, all of which point to an experience designed to be quick and friction-light across phones, laptops and tablets.

Battery life looks competitive on paper. OnePlus says the earbuds can deliver up to 54 hours of total playback with the charging case in AAC mode with ANC off and volume at 50 per cent. A quick 10-minute charge is rated to provide up to 13 hours of playback when counting the case and buds together. As always, lab figures and real-world use are rarely best friends, but even with some practical drop-off, the numbers suggest these buds should comfortably survive long commutes and several workdays without drama.

Price, colours and availability

The OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro are priced at Rs 3,999 in India, with a limited-period launch price of Rs 3,799. They will go on sale from March 23, with availability confirmed across OnePlus channels and major retail platforms. The earbuds are listed in two colour options, Radiant Gray and Raven Black.

At this price, OnePlus is not trying to reinvent wireless audio. It is doing something arguably smarter. It is taking the premium-earbuds checklist, trimming away the wallet pain, and betting that buyers care less about audiophile theatre and more about better commuting, clearer calls, practical controls and bass that shows up on time. If the real-world performance matches even most of this spec sheet, the Nord Buds 4 Pro could end up being less about hype and more about sensible disruption.
