Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro coming to India soon, upcoming launch teased

The Oppo Reno 12 Series has been listed on Flipkart to tease the availability.

The Chinese tech company Oppo plans to launch its flagship devices, the Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro, via Flipkart in India. AI-powered features including AI Best Face, AI Eraser 2.0, AI Studio, and AI Clear Face will be available in the Indian versions.

A special landing page has been made by Flipkart and Oppo India to hint at the release date of the Reno 12 5G and Reno 12 Pro 5G. The exact launch date is yet to be announced by the company. The upcoming launch has also been teased through the company’s social media channels

Additionally, the phones will come equipped with Google Gemini LLM-powered productivity capabilities like AI Speak, AI Writer, AI Clear Voice, AI Record Summary, and AI Summary.

Both the Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro following their release in China, were made available in a few other countries. Global models use MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy SoCs, whereas Chinese versions use a MediaTek Dimensity 8250 Star Speed Edition SoC and a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ Star Speed Edition chipset.

What they use is ColorOS 14.1, which is built on Android 14. There are also generative AI elements on the gadgets. The phone features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ curved OLED screen with 2,412 x 1,080 pixels resolution. The display has up to 120Hz refresh rate support and 1,200 nits of peak brightness. The vanilla model has Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection whereas the Pro model has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 layering.

Both phones feature a triple rear camera setup. The Oppo Reno 12 has a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro shooter, and a 32-megapixel front camera. The Reno 12 Pro has the same primary sensor and ultrawide lens, a 50-megapixel telephoto shooter, and a 50-megapixel front camera.

The 5,000mAh batteries of the Reno 12 and 12 Pro can be charged with an 80W wired SuperVOOC charger. Additionally, the phones have USB Type-C, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, Bluetooth 5.4, Beidou, 5G, and Wi-Fi 6.
