Oppo Reno 15 Series 5G launching in India today: Details

The Oppo Reno 15 Series 5G is launching today in India, featuring the Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, and the new Reno 15 Pro Mini models. The Pro Mini has a 6.32-inch AMOLED screen, and the Pro models have 200-megapixel primary cameras. The series will operate on Android 16 with ColorOS 16, and it claims to emphasise design and AI-enhanced photography. The devices will be available for purchase via Flipkart, Amazon, and the Oppo India online shop.

Oppo is launching the Reno 15 Series 5G in India today at 12 noon IST. A livestream event is being organised on YouTube for fans to watch the unveiling. You can also access the event through the embedded link below.

According to reports, the new Oppo Reno 15 Series 5G will be available in various colours and prices. The normal Oppo Reno 15 is projected to be priced below Rs 50,000, while the Reno 15 Pro Mini would be available for less than Rs 40,000. In contrast, the Reno 15 Pro is expected to cost more than its predecessor, the Reno 14 Pro, which starts at Rs 49,999 for the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage option and Rs 54,999 for the 12GB RAM with 512GB storage configuration.

The Reno 15 Pro comes in Cocoa Brown and Sunset Gold, while the Reno 15 Pro Mini will be available in Cocoa Brown and Glacier White. The regular Oppo Reno 15 will be available in Glacier White, Twilight Blue, and Aurora Blue. Following the introduction, the Reno 15 Series will be available for purchase on key platforms, including Flipkart, Amazon, and the official Oppo India online shop.

Each model of this series will have an aerospace-grade aluminium frame. The Oppo Reno 15 Pro will have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 95.5% screen-to-body ratio, which will be covered by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The Oppo Reno 15 Pro Mini is expected to sport a 6.32-inch AMOLED screen with a screen-to-body ratio of 93.35%, as well as Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and AGC DT-STAR D+ protection. The base model is said to include a 6.59-inch AMOLED display, a screen-to-body ratio of 93.4%, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

The Oppo Reno 15 Series 5G is likely to include a new camera island with a lens layout reminiscent of Apple’s Pro iPhone models. The higher-end variants, the Oppo Reno 15 Pro 5G and Reno 15 Pro Mini 5G, are said to have a strong 200-megapixel back camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto portrait camera with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. The basic Reno 15 5G model will feature a camera arrangement, comprising a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide rear camera.

According to reports, the Oppo Reno 15 may have a 6,500mAh battery with 80W charging capability, while the Pro and Pro mini versions might have 6,200mAh cells with comparable 80W wired charging capabilities. Furthermore, the gadgets are likely to offer wireless charging.
