The Chinese smartphone maker Poco today arrived with a new smartphone in the Indian market. The company released the Poco C61 in the country. The handset is powered by a MediaTek Helio G36 chipset. There is a 5,000mAH battery onboard and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor which is rarely seen on a phone priced under 7k. Also, it comes with an 8-megapixel primary rear dual rear camera set-up and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Check out the pricing and specs below.

Poco C61 price in India, sale details

Poco has launched Poco C61 in two different configurations. The price of the base 4GB RAM with 64GB storage is set at Rs 6,999. There is another 6GB RAM with 128GB storage options that will retail at Rs 7,999. The budget smartphone will be offered in Diamond Dust Black, Ethereal Blue, and Mystical Green colour options. The device is scheduled to go on sale on March 28 at noon. It can be purchased through Flipkart in the country.

The device seems to be a repackaged Redmi A3 based on its specifications. Its price starts at Rs 7,299 for the 3GB RAM with 64GB Storage. The price of the 4GB RAM with 128GB Storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage is set at Rs 8,299 and Rs 9,299 respectively.

Poco C61 specification

Poco C61 is driven by a MediaTek Helio G36 SoC coupled with MediaTek Helio G36 SoC storage. The phone operates on Android 14 out of the box. It features a 6.71-inch HD+ LCD display with 1,650 x 720 pixels of resolution. The handset’s screen supports a refresh rate of 90 Hz and 180Hz touch sampling rate. Additionally, the display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

For photos and videos, the Poco C61 features a dual rear camera setup powered by AI. The unit includes an 8-megapixel primary sensor and an unnamed secondary lens with an LED flash. For taking selfies and video Poco has provided a 5-megapixel front-facing sensor on the phone.

Poco C61 is stuffed with a 5,000mAh battery but unfortunately, the device only supports 10W wired charging. In terms of connectivity, there is 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio port, USB Type-C for charging. The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for unlocking.
