Xiaomi’s subsidiary Poco is all set to announce a new smartphone in the Indian market today. The company will be unveiling Poco F7 5G, featuring a brand new design. The smartphone will have a metal middle frame with Gorilla Glass 7i on the back and display. It will have a 7,550mAh battery that supports 90W fast charging. Furthermore, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC. It also has a dual back camera arrangement with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and optical image stabilisation.

Poco F7 5G Design, Specifications

The Poco F7 5G commercial teasers show a black and silver dual-tone finish with the words “Limited Edition” etched on the back panel. The phone has a vertically positioned elliptical back camera module with two sensors, a pill-shaped LED flash, and a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS). The Snapdragon logo is also visible on the panel, referring to the device’s Snapdragon chipset.

The new phone has dust and water resistant classifications of IP66+IP68+IP69, as well as Gorilla Glass 7i protection on the back and front.

In India, the Poco F7 5G will be available in Frost White, Cyber Silver Edition, and Phantom Black and will be offered exclusively through Flipkart. It has a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The Poco F7 5G is set to launch in India with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC that scored more than 2.1 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark. The global model will likewise include the same chipset. Flipkart’s microsite confirms that the gadget would support 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 internal storage.

Poco has announced plans to release a phone utilising Xiaomi’s HyperOS interface, with over three years of Android updates and four years of security patches.

The new Poco phone will include a 3D IceLoop System with AI temperature control and a 6,000-square-millimetre vapour cooling chamber, as well as WildBoost Gaming Optimisation 4.0 for high-quality image rendering, snappy UI, consistent brightness, and fast frame rates while conserving battery life.

The Indian Poco F7 will have a 7,550mAh battery that supports 90W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. The battery is said to last up to two weeks in standby mode and up to 60 hours of continuous talk time on a single charge.

The Poco F7 5G will have a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor and optical image stabilisation and a 20-megapixel selfie camera.
