POCO F8 Pro and F8 Ultra set to land on November 26 with serious flagship firepower

Dual-flagship F8 series aims to bring Redmi K90 hardware, denim backs and Bose audio to global markets.

POCO F8 Ultra launch is officially happening on November 26, with the brand confirming a global event in Indonesia where the POCO F8 Pro and POCO F8 Ultra will be unveiled together. The pair will succeed the POCO F7 Pro and POCO F7 Ultra from earlier this year and aim to bring top-tier specs, bold design choices and aggressive pricing to global markets that love value flagships.

POCO F8 series launch: what is confirmed so far

POCO has already revealed that the F8 series will be announced at a dedicated global event on November 26. The spotlight will be split between the POCO F8 Pro and the POCO F8 Ultra, both pitched as proper flagships rather than a simple Pro plus mid-range combo.

The F8 Ultra has one clear headline feature. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, built on a 3 nm process, and already teased with an AnTuTu score touching 3.94 million points. That puts it squarely in the 2025 flagship league, especially for mobile gamers and heavy multitaskers who push their phones hard.

Denim back, bold colours and Bose-tuned sound

Design is where POCO is trying to add some flair. The POCO F8 Ultra shows up in Black and a new Blue finish with a back cover that looks like blue jeans. The brand says this denim-like panel uses a two-tone warp and weft process along with third-generation nano leather technology. It is a very phone-nerd way of saying it wants to stand out in a sea of glossy glass slabs.

The POCO F8 Pro plays it a little safer in Black, Silver and Blue, but both models share a boxy silhouette, large camera island and IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Audio also gets special attention. Both phones carry “Sound by Bose” tuning, while the F8 Ultra adds a rear speaker to deliver a 2.1 channel audio experience for movies and games.

POCO F8 Pro specs: compact flagship with periscope zoom

On paper, the POCO F8 Pro specs read like a well-balanced compact flagship that still has room for enthusiast features:

  • 6.59-inch 2K 12-bit AMOLED display, 20:9 aspect ratio

  • 120 Hz refresh rate, 2560 Hz instant touch sampling, DC dimming

  • Up to 3500 nits peak brightness and a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio

  • HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support

  • Snapdragon 8 Elite 3 nm mobile platform with Adreno 830 GPU

  • 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM with 256 GB or 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage

  • Android 16 with Xiaomi HyperOS 3

  • Triple rear camera setup

    • 50 MP main camera with 1/1.55 inch Light Fusion 800 sensor, f/1.88, OIS and EIS

    • 8 MP ultra wide camera with 120 degree field of view, f/2.2

    • 50 MP 2.5x periscope telephoto camera, f/2.2, 8K video recording

  • 20 MP front camera

  • 3D ultrasonic in the display fingerprint sensor and the infrared sensor

  • IP68 dust and water resistance

  • USB Type C audio, Hi-Res audio, stereo speakers with Sound by Bose tuning

  • 5G SA and NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and multi-band navigation

  • 6210 mAh battery with 100 W fast charging and 22.5 W reverse wired charging

For many users, that mix of high resolution display, periscope telephoto and fast charging could be more important than chasing the absolute biggest screen.

POCO F8 Ultra specs: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and bigger everything

The Ultra is where POCO throws in almost every hardware upgrade it can. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform is paired with an Adreno 840 GPU, 12 GB or 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB UFS 4.1 storage. It is very clearly aimed at power users.

Key rumoured specs for the Ultra include:

  • 6.9-inch 2K 12-bit AMOLED display, 20:9 aspect ratio

  • 120 Hz refresh rate, 2560 Hz instant touch sampling, DC dimming

  • Up to 3500 nits peak brightness and 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio

  • Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 3 nm mobile platform with Adreno 840 GPU

  • 12 GB or 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM with 256 GB or 512 GB UFS 4.1 storage

  • Android 16 with Xiaomi HyperOS 3

  • Triple rear camera setup

    • 50 MP main camera with 1/1.31 inch Light Fusion 950 sensor, f/1.67, OIS and EIS

    • 50 MP 102 degree ultra wide camera with OV50M sensor, f/2.4

    • 50 MP 5x periscope telephoto camera with f/3.0, OIS, 30 cm tele macro and 8K video

  • 32 MP front camera with 4K video recording

  • 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and infrared sensor

  • IP68 rating

  • USB Type C audio, Hi-Res audio and 2.1 channel speakers tuned by Bose

  • 5G SA and NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and wide satellite navigation support

  • USB Type C 3.2 Gen 1 port

  • 6500 mAh battery with 100 W fast charging, 50 W wireless charging and 22.5 W reverse wired charging

On paper, the POCO F8 Ultra camera setup looks like a serious step up for zoom lovers, especially with that 5x periscope, tele macro support and large primary sensor. Combine that with the big battery and wireless charging, and the Ultra is positioned as a full-blown flagship rather than a typical budget performance phone.

Software, connectivity and POCO F8 HyperOS 3 experience

Both devices are expected to ship with Android 16 paired with Xiaomi HyperOS 3. For long-term use, the POCO F8 HyperOS 3 combination will be critical, since this is where POCO can optimise animations, gaming tools, cooling profiles and camera processing.

Connectivity is up to date across the board. You get 5G SA and NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB Type C and support for navigation systems such as Beidou, GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, QZSS and NavIC.

POCO F8 India launch: what to expect

Right now, there is no formal confirmation, but early hints suggest that India should get the POCO F8 sometime next year, likely powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5-class chipset. The exact variant and final specs for India are still under wraps. The phrase POCO F8 India launch will be heard a lot over the coming months as buyers watch to see how POCO positions it against rivals in crowded price segments.

For Indian users in particular, POCO F8 battery life, real-world camera quality and long-term software support may matter more than raw benchmark numbers when it finally arrives.

Look at the spec sheet, and it feels like a classic POCO playbook in 2025. Take strong Redmi K series foundations, wrap them in a louder design, pair them with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 power, stamp Bose on the audio and fight on value. If the company can keep the thermals under control, polish HyperOS and price the lineup sensibly, the F8 series could be more than just spec bait. It might actually be the pair of flagships that gamers, photographers and everyday users remember after the launch hype fades.
