The Chinese smartphone brand, Poco, is all set to launch its new phone in the Indian market. The India launch of the Poco M4 Pro 5G is scheduled to take place today. The device is said to be a rebranded variant of the Redmi Note 11 5G that arrived in China earlier. However, the smartphone already debuted globally in November last year but it failed to make it to the Indian market at that time.

Poco M4 Pro 5G price in India expected
Globally the Poco M4 Pro 5G is available in two distinct variants. The 4GB RAM with 64GB storage model costs EUR 229 (about Rs 19,600). In contrast, a 6GB RAM with 128GB model has been offered at EUR 249, which amounts to Rs 21,300. The phone will be available in three colour options of Cool Blue, Power Black and Poco Yellow. In India, the Poco M4 Pro 5G pricing is estimated to be at a similar price point.
Poco M4 Pro 5G specifications expected
The Poco M4 Pro 5G India variant’s specifications are believed to be comparable to those of the device, which was introduced in global markets in November. The India edition is likely to undergo minor changes in specifications, although no official information is available at this moment.
The forthcoming smartphone, on the other hand, is said to have a 6.6-inch full-HD+ LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. It is rumoured that it will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G SoC. It will be available in a range of configurations, including 6GB/ 8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage.
The display of the Poco M4 Pro 5G is a 6.5-inch full HD+ Dot. The screen offers a wide colour gamut of DCI-P3, a refresh rate of 90Hz, and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. In terms of software, the smartphone runs MIUI 12.5 for Poco, which is a customised version of Android 11.
The octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC is paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The RAM features Dynamic RAM Expansion technology, which uses up to 8GB of internal storage for smooth multitasking. There is also a microSD card slot, which allows the internal memory to be expanded to 1TB.
The Poco smartphone boasts a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a secondary 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with a field of view of 119 degrees.
The front of the Poco 5G smartphone sports a 16-megapixel selfie camera disguised under a notch for recording selfies and video calls.
The M4 Pro 5G is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W Pro fast charging. Aside from that, there is a fingerprint sensor on the side of the phone.
