Poco M8 5G camera specs revealed ahead of India’s launch

More information about the Poco M8 5G's camera capabilities has emerged as its release date draws near.

The Poco M8 5G is slated to arrive in India, with availability confirmed via Flipkart. As the Poco M8 5G’s release date gets closer, more information about its camera capabilities has been revealed. The smartphone has a dual-tone back panel with racing stripes and a 50-megapixel AI camera system. This model has been reported to be part of the M8 series, which might include a Pro version. Its look is similar to the forthcoming Redmi Note 15 5G, especially in the back camera setup.

The company has shown off the design of the Poco M8 5G, which shares similarities with the back panel of the forthcoming Redmi Note 15 5G, which will be released on January 6. The Xiaomi subsidiary has announced that the Poco M8 5G will be available for purchase in India via Flipkart following its debut. A webpage on the e-commerce platform has already been set up for the phone’s launch, with a design inspired by racing stripes.

An X post shared a preview of the phone, revealing a black dual-tone back panel with racing stripes on either side. In addition, the phone features a square, rounded camera island called a squircle, which seems slightly raised and has contoured edges.

The Poco M8 5G will include a rear-facing 50-megapixel AI camera with three lenses within a camera island and an LED flash. The phone is ergonomically built with a curved right frame that houses the power and volume buttons for easier user interaction.

Poco is expected to provide further details on the M8 series soon, including the official launch date for the Indian market.
