Poco M8 5G India launch today: Expected price and specifications

Poco M8 5G is going to be released in India today. The upcoming phone is going to be offered in a variety of colours on Flipkart. The smartphone will include a 5,520 mAh battery and a 20-megapixel selfie camera, with details regarding the processor and OS compatibility previously leaked online.

The Poco M8 5G is scheduled to be released in India today at 12:00. The livestream will be available on the Poco India website, YouTube account, as well as the brand’s social media outlets, such as X.com.

It has been confirmed to be available on Flipkart and the official company website. The smartphone will be offered in three separate colours: Carbon Black, Glacial Blue, and Frost Silver.

The pricing specifics for the M8 5G in India have yet to be revealed by the tech company, although previous leaks indicate a possible launch price of less than Rs 15,000. Recently, design details were revealed via a website on the platform, which featured a dual-tone rear panel with matte and vegan leather textures.

It will include a 50-megapixel AI-enhanced main camera housed in a centrally aligned squircle-shaped camera module that also comprises two secondary sensors and an LED light. It also has a 20-megapixel front-facing camera, which is excellent for taking selfies and making video calls. The gadget can capture videos in up to 4K quality and has a 2x in-sensor zoom for better shooting capabilities.

The gadget has been confirmed to be 7.35 mm thick and weighs around 178 g. The smartphone has a sturdy 6.77-inch 3D curved display with a peak brightness of up to 3,200 nits and a high resolution of 1,080×2,392 pixels. It also has a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, which ensures fluid graphics, an impressive 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and the capacity to display 68.7 billion colours.

Notably, the mobile device includes the Wet Touch 2.0 function, which improves touch sensitivity when users interact with the screen when their hands are wet or moist. It also features an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance, as well as SGS MIL-STD-810 drop certification for impact and fall endurance.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor will power the soon-to-be-released M8 5G smartphone.

The Poco phone is confirmed to run Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2.0, which is based on Android 15. The company’s four-year operating system upgrades and six-year security patches demonstrate a strong commitment to software durability.

The upcoming smartphone will have a huge 5,520mAh battery, allowing for extended use on a single charge. It will also enable rapid recharging via 45W wired fast charging, allowing users to swiftly restore battery life. Additionally, the gadget will be able to deliver 18W wired reverse charging, allowing it to charge other devices and increasing its utility in various settings. Furthermore, the mobile is built with a dual speaker system that supports Dolby Atmos technology, allowing for a remarkable 300 per cent increase in loudness, making it especially well-suited for outdoor listening sessions.
