Poco X6 Series is to be shipped with HyperOS out of the box, Poco India confirms

The Poco X6 Series will debut in India on January 11.

Poco X6 Series is confirmed to launch in India on January 11. The lineup is likely to include two models Poco X6 and the Poco X6 Pro that is said to succeed the Poco X5 and Poco X5 Pro launched last year. But today it revealed that its upcoming lineup will be shipped with the new HyperOS out of the box.

Poco India has officially announced that on January 11 it will also launch HyperOS along with Poco X6 Series. Note that the company introduced its latest Android skin in China while announcing the Xiaomi 14 series in China.

Expressing his excitement, Himanshu Tandon, Country Head, of POCO India said, “The integration of Xiaomi HyperOS with the upcoming POCO X6 Pro, marks an exciting milestone for us. Xiaomi HyperOS’ capabilities align with our vision to deliver peak performance and seamless connectivity, enhancing the overall user experience in the POCO X6 Pro.”

The company has further confirmed that the Poco X6 Series global launch event will be held on January 11 at 5.30 PM. It will be available on Flipkart post-launch. The device has also been listed on the e-commerce platform to tease its availability and key features.

Poco India has revealed that Poco X6 Pro will be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra SoC. The company said, “In addition to the groundbreaking Xiaomi HyperOS, the POCO X6 Pro will also mark the India debut of the MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra SoC. This powerful chipset is set to revolutionise smartphone performance, offering lightning-fast speeds, enhanced multitasking capabilities, and outstanding AI capabilities. With the addition of Xiaomi HyperOS, POCO X6 Pro users can expect an unparalleled smartphone experience.”

Rumours suggest the Poco X6 Pro will be a rebranded variant of the Redmi K70E which was launched in China in November 2023. This means Poco X6 Pro will come with a 6.67-inch OLED 1.5K display having 1,220×2,712 pixels of resolution. The OLED screen will support up to 120Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz touch sampling rate. The display may also offer 1,800 nits of peak brightness and 1920Hz PWM dimming. The phone is expected to include an under-display fingerprint sensor.

The Poco X6 Pro will be the first handset to debut in India with a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra chipset. It is likely to include up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 1TB of UFS4.0 storage.

For the optics, the upcoming gaming phone may feature a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel primary camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The device could feature a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies.

It is expected to boast a 5,500mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging support.
