Poco X8 Pro series India launch today: Livestreaming, pricing and specs

The upcoming lineup will include two devices.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco is slated to unveil the Poco X8 Pro series in India today. The range is also expected to be offered in select markets, with two devices: the Poco X8 Pro Max 5G and the Poco X8 Pro 5G. Ahead of the announcement, the company highlighted the camera and display specifications of the upcoming smartphones.

The POCO X8 Pro series will be released today in India as well as globally at 05:30 PM IST, or 08:00 PM GMT+8. Expected Pricing and Availability

Following its debut, the POCO X8 Pro series will be available in India via Flipkart and Amazon. The Poco X8 Pro series’ price information, including the Poco X8 Pro Max 5G and basic Poco X8 Pro 5G, has yet to be formally announced. However, the Poco X8 Pro Max 5G is speculated to be priced about Rs 42,000, while the regular model would start at roughly Rs 35,000.

Confirmed Specifications

The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G will have an amazing 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and peak brightness levels of 3,500 nits. This model will also offer a 3,840Hz PWM dimming capability to improve display quality. The Poco X8 Pro 5G, on the other hand, will have a slightly smaller 6.59-inch AMOLED display while maintaining the same peak refresh rate and resolution capabilities as the Max. The Poco X8 Pro series will include dual camera modules, each with a 50-megapixel primary camera, and both models will have a different pill-shaped camera module design.

The Poco X8 Pro series will have advanced protection, including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K classifications, which provide excellent resistance to dust and water. The Pro Max model is slated to come with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, which improves user security.

The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G will be offered globally in two configurations: 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. In addition, the Poco X8 Pro 5G will be available in a variety of configurations, including 8GB of RAM with either 256GB or 512GB of storage, as well as 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

In addition, the Poco X8 Pro Max 5G variant will be paired with a powerful 8,500mAh battery. However, for the Indian market, this model will come with an even more powerful 9,000mAh battery.

The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G will be driven by a 3nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor, which will provide better performance and efficiency. In comparison, the Pro version has a somewhat less advanced 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra SoC. Both models include a powerful 6,500mAh battery that provides plenty of usage time, and they feature 100W wired fast-charging technology for a fast power recharge. Furthermore, the Pro Max variant has 27W wired reverse charging, which increases its flexibility for powering other devices.
