Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite with on-device generative AI features launched

By enabling on-device multi-modal generative AI apps on Snapdragon-powered smartphones, these advancements allow the Snapdragon 8 Elite to revolutionise user experiences.

Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the world’s fastest mobile CPU, which will enable a new age of on-device generative AI. The platform is intended to tackle multimodal AI difficulties while prioritising privacy. It also supports AI-powered 5G and Wi-Fi 7, enabling on-the-go entertainment and productivity.

Qualcomm Technologies released the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, the world’s fastest mobile system-on-chip. The platform includes the Qualcomm Oryon CPU, Qualcomm Adreno GPU, and upgraded Qualcomm Hexagon NPU, which provide game-changing performance increases.

The Qualcomm Oryon CPU improves on-device AI capabilities by providing fast and effective interactions. It can see what you see with your camera’s live view and respond to voice, text, and picture cues. With its vast bandwidth and unbroken audio, the Qualcomm Adreno GPU powers realistic mobile gaming.
