Ranveer Allahbadia’s YouTube channels hacked, video deleted: What exactly happened and how

Allahbadia hasn't released an official statement.

The YouTube channels of influencer Ranveer Allahbadia were compromised, rebranded as Tesla, and their videos removed. YouTube deleted the channels after hackers exploited an Elon Musk avatar created by artificial intelligence to spread cryptocurrency fraud.

A cyberattack on YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia led to the renaming of his channels as “Tesla” and the removal of all of the content that was on them. Musk’s fake avatar asked users to deposit Bitcoin or Ethereum on an unknown website. This practice is commonly known as Bitcoin Doubling which is frequently employed in hacks against high-profile YouTube channels. The avatar encourages viewers to visit a dubious website called elonweb.net, scan a QR code, and deposit Bitcoin or Ethereum.

Reportedly, the hackers tricked Ranveer Allahbadia’s viewers into investing in cryptocurrencies with the false assurance of doubling their profits through a fake livestream that included an AI-generated Elon Musk avatar.

The influencer is well-known for his podcasts and talks with prominent individuals on his channel Beer Biceps. Allahbadia now has about 7 YouTube channels, with over 12 million subscribers. All of the podcasts and interviews were removed by the cyberattackers, who replaced them with previous recordings of events starring Donald Trump and Elon Musk.

As a result, YouTube has removed channels due to a violation of its policies. Previously, the live-streaming platform displayed a message stating that the channels were removed due to a violation of the company’s policies, but now it displays a message stating that the page is unavailable and suggests searching for alternative options.
