Realme 16 Pro series India launch date revealed, to feature a triple rear camera setup

The upcoming series will include a periscope telephoto camera with a 10x zoom.

Realme has announced the release date of its 16 Pro series in India, which comprises the Realme 16 Pro 5G and Realme 16 Pro+ 5G. The devices will be available solely on Flipkart and the company’s website. While the exact cost remains unknown, the series appears to use a Snapdragon processor. Furthermore, the new phones will be available in four unique colour variants as part of a partnership with designer Naoto Fukasawa.

Realme has stated that the Realme 16 Pro series will be launched in India on January 6, 2026, at 12 p.m. IST. The series contains two models: the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G and the Realme 16 Pro 5G. Following the introduction, the gadgets will be available for purchase through Flipkart and the Realme India online shop.

Realme has revealed design details for its upcoming Realme 16 Pro lineup, which includes a triple camera setup and LED flash housed in a newly designed square-shaped unit. The logo will be on the right side of the rear panel, and the right frame will have a power button and volume controls.

The Realme 16 Pro Series, designed in collaboration with Naoto Fukasawa, features the Urban Wild Design that combines natural materials with urban aesthetics. The range, which aims to create a sense of freedom in bustling city life, incorporates new bio-based organic silicone, handcrafted curves, and luxurious finishes to improve comfort and visual appeal. It introduces MasterDesign colours inspired by nature, including MasterGold, MasterGrey, Camellia Pink, and Orchid Purple.

The series is touted to include a 200-megapixel portrait master that produces high-quality portraits with clarity, depth, and natural colour. The 200MP LumaColor Camera is said to capture detailed group images and expressive solo portraits in various focal lengths, accentuating subjects with perfected bokeh and correct skin tones.

LumaColor IMAGE, Realme’s self-developed portrait imaging technology, is at the heart of the imaging experience and makes its debut in the Realme 16 Pro series. realme created the LumaColor IMAGE LAB in partnership with TÜV R to assure consistent colour performance.

The device will include a periscope telephoto camera with a 10x zoom and enable AI Edit Genie 2.0, which features image editing capabilities like AI StyleMe and AI LightMe.

Realme’s forthcoming 16 Pro+ 5G will be powered by a Snapdragon processor that is said to outperform Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC. Additional information about specifications, pricing, and availability will be disclosed during the launch event.
