Realme 16 Pro Series, powered by a 7,000 mAh battery, launched in India

Both models will be offered in three colour options, two of which are exclusive to the Indian market.

Realme has officially released its 16 Pro line in India, which includes both the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G and Realme 16 Pro 5G versions. The Pro+ is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, whereas the Pro uses the Dimensity 7300 Max SoC. The 16 Pro 5G model has a 6.78-inch display, and the Pro+ variant has a slightly bigger 6.8-inch AMOLED screen. It also has a dual back camera arrangement, which includes an impressive 200-megapixel main camera for high-quality photography.

Realme has introduced two variants in India, the Realme 16 Pro 5G and the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G. The Realme 16 Pro 5G starts at Rs 31,999 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the 256GB option costs Rs 33,999. The top option, which includes 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, costs Rs 36,999. In contrast, the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G costs Rs 39,999 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and Rs 41,999 for the 256GB variant. The highest option, with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, costs Rs 44,999.

The 16 Pro 5G will be available in India on January 9 through Flipkart and the Realme online shop, with colours including Master Gold, Pebble Grey, and Orchid Purple, and the 16 Pro+ 5G in Master Gold, Master Grey, and Camellia Pink. To celebrate the introduction of two new smartphones, the business is providing an immediate bank discount of up to Rs 4,000 on select credit cards.

The Pro+ model has a high-resolution 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a pixel count of 1,280×2,800, allowing for an amazing maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz. Furthermore, it has an excellent touch sampling rate of up to 240 Hz, which improves responsiveness while in use. With a maximum brightness of 6,500 nits, the display guarantees visibility in bright environments. It supports the full DCI/P3 colour gamut and can render 1.07 billion different colours, resulting in a rich and colourful viewing experience.

In comparison, the 16 Pro has a comparatively smaller display (6.78 inches) with a resolution of 1,272×2,772 pixels. Although its peak brightness is slightly lower (1,400 nits), it has a pixel density of 450 ppi. Notably, the Realme 16 Pro 5G matches the Pro+ model in terms of the highest refresh rate and DCI-P3 colour gamut, giving consumers comparable smooth visuals and colour performance but with lower peak brightness and a slightly lower resolution.
