realme P4 Pro gets a 12-hour special sale in India on August 29

Power play under Rs 20,000 with dual-chip brains, 144Hz AMOLED, and a 7000mAh battery

If you have been waiting for a value flagship in spirit, the realme P4 Pro sale starts on August 29 from 12 PM to midnight. The pitch is simple. A dual-chip setup promises higher sustained performance, a 144Hz AMOLED aims for ultra-smooth visuals, and a 7000mAh battery claims all-day gaming without the bulk. On paper, this is one of the boldest spec sheets under Rs 20,000 right now.

Price and availability in India

  • 8GB + 128GB effective price Rs 19,999

  • 8GB + 256GB Rs 21,999

  • 12GB + 256GB Rs 23,999
The 12-hour special sale runs August 29, 12 PM to 12 AM IST across Flipkart, realme.com, and mainline retail. Realme also lists a bank discount, exchange benefits, and no-cost EMI options on select variants.

Why the dual-chip matters

Inside is Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 for CPU and GPU duties paired with a Hyper Vision AI coprocessor co-developed with Pixelworks. The idea is the division of labour. The Snapdragon handles heavy compute while the companion chip focuses on frame generation, AI upscaling, tone mapping, and visual enhancements. In theory, that should mean steadier frame rates in long gaming sessions and cleaner video playback without the typical mid-range throttling. It also unlocks display algorithms that can lift SDR content and reduce artefacts in low-bitrate streams.

Display and design

The P4 Pro uses a 144Hz HyperGlow AMOLED 4D Curve+ panel with a stated 6500 nits peak brightness, HDR10+, and 1.07 billion colours. Eye comfort features include 4320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, hardware low-blue-light filtering, and TÜV Rheinland certification. Realme’s Living Nature Design swaps glossy glass for tech-wood on the back. Colourways include Birch Wood, Dark Oak Wood, and Midnight Ivy, each with a tactile, grained finish that resists smudges better than mirror backs.

Battery and performance

A 7000mAh Titan Battery sits in a 7.68 mm chassis, which is unusually slim for this capacity. Realme’s internal tests cite over 8 hours of BGMI at 90FPS, helped by the dual-chip pipeline and thermal tuning. The benefit is simple to grasp. High refresh gameplay stays stable longer, and you are less likely to hunt for a charger in the evening.

Cameras for creators

You get 50MP sensors on both sides. The rear uses a 50MP Sony IMX896 with OIS for steadier night shots and portraits with better micro-contrast. The front is a 50MP OV50D for sharp selfies and 4K vlogs. Notably, 4K 60FPS recording is supported on both front and rear, which is rare at this price and handy for creators who want consistent footage quality regardless of perspective.

AI tools baked in

  • AI Edit Genie: voice-prompt edits to add objects, swap backgrounds, change seasons, or remove distractions

  • On-device AI Inspiration: adjusts exposure, tones, and glare intelligently

  • AI Travel Snap, AI Landscape, AI Snap Mode: auto-optimise framing and colour

  • Ultra Steady and AI Motion Stabilisation: smoother clips in low light or while moving

  • Document scanner: quick capture of pages and notes

Key specs at a glance

  • Processor: Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 + Hyper Vision AI coprocessor

  • Display: 144Hz AMOLED, HDR10+, up to 6500 nits, 4D Curve+

  • Battery: 7000mAh, slim 7.68 mm frame

  • Cameras: 50MP rear IMX896 with OIS, 50MP front OV50D, 4K 60FPS both sides

  • Variants: 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB

  • Sale window: August 29, 12 PM to midnight, online and mainline

Specs alone do not win championships, but the P4 Pro lines up the right ones. If the thermal tuning holds up and the display claims translate in sunlight, this could force rivals to rethink what a sub-Rs 20,000 phone should look like in late 2025.
