Redmi 13 5G with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE SoC launched in India

The smartphone comes with a 108-megapixel camera.

The Chinese tech brand Xiaomi today celebrated its 10th anniversary in India with the launch of a new product range. The firm introduced Redmi 13 5G, Redmi Buds 5C, Xiaomi RVC X10, Xiaomi Pocket Power Bank 10000mAh and Xiaomi Power Bank 4i 10000mAh. Redmi 13 5G runs on Android 14 with HyperOS. It is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE SoC. The device features a 108-megapixel camera with a Samsung ISOCELL HM6 sensor and a 13-megapixel selfie camera.

Redmi 13 5G has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 13,999 for the base 6GB RAM with a 128GB storage option. There is another 8GB RAM with a 128GB storage model priced at Rs 15,499. The device will come in three colourways- Hawaiian Blue, Black Diamond, and Orchid Pink.

The phone will go on sale via mi.com, amazon.in and Xiaomi retail partners starting July 12 in the country.

Redmi 13 5G sports a 6.79-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD display with 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution. The panel has 120Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate support and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone runs on Android 14-based HyperOS out of the box, along with commitments to two major Android updates and four years of security updates. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE SoC with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

In terms of optics, the Redmi 13 5G features a dual rear camera with Ring Flash Design, reducing red-eye occurrence in photos and helping users track their notifications for calls and alarms. The camera unit equips a 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HM6 sensor with an f/1.75 aperture and 3x in-sensor zoom along with a 2-megapixel macro lens. Upfront there is a 13-megapixel selfie camera.

The phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi, 5G, and 4G LTE and a USB Type-C port as connectivity options. Additionally, the phone has an infrared (IR) transmitter, a fingerprint scanner installed on the side, an accelerometer, gyroscope, e-compass, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor, among other sensors.
