Redmi 9 Power today landed in India as Xiaomi’s latest budget smartphone. The device is the latest addition to the Redmi 9 series available in India. The newly launched Redmi smartphone comes with a massive 6,000mAh battery. In addition to this, the phone also includes a quad rear camera setup and an FHD+ display. Redmi 9 Power has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 10,999 for the base 4GB RAM with 64GB storage option. While the 4GB RAM with 128GB storage variant price has been set at Rs 11,999. The smartphone will be available in four color variants: Mighty Black, Blazing Blue, Fiery Red and Electric Green. It is scheduled to go on sale on December 22 at 12 noon via Mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Homes and Mi Studios.

Speaking of the specifications, Redmi 9 Power features a 6.53-inch full-HD+ Dot Drop display with 1,080×2,340 pixels of resolution. It offers a peak brightness of 400 nits with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The display comes with a TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification. It runs MIUI 12 on top of Android 10. Under the hood, there is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC coupled with Adreno 610 GPU. The device will be available with up to 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage that can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card.

For the photos and videos, Redmi 9 Power comes with a quad-camera set up on the back of the phone that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor. Moreover, there is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. While on the front there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera which also supports AI Face Unlock. The camera set up includes a host of features such as movie frame, time-lapse, night mode and colour focus.

Apart from this Redmi 9 Power is fuelled by a massive 6,000mAh battery which is claimed to deliver 2 days of battery life, up to 695 hours of standby on 4G on a single charge. The battery is supported by an 18W fast charger which is touted to provide 14 hours of VoLTE calling in 30 minutes of charging. This Redmi smartphone comes with a splash-resistant coating coupled with rubberised ports enabling protection against accidental spills. For connectivity, there is 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Infrared (IR) blaster, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
