Redmi A7 Pro 5G India launch today: Key specs and features confirmed

Earlier this month the company introduced the 4G variant of the upcoming smartphone globally.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is all set to launch a new smartphone, the A7 Pro 5G, in India today. The phone will be equipped with a 6,300mAh battery. It will be running on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 out of the box. It is confirmed to be powered by an octa-core SoC. Additionally, there is a 32-megapixel front-facing camera on the phone for taking selfies.

The Redmi A7 Pro 5G is scheduled to be launched in India today. The global 4G version of the Redmi A7 Pro came out in select markets earlier this month for around $119 (about Rs 10,000 to Rs 11,100). The Unisoc T7250 chipset powers it, and it has a 13MP AI dual camera and an 8MP front camera. The gadget has 4GB of RAM and lets you choose between 64GB and 128GB of internal storage.

The upcoming Redmi A7 Pro 5G is claimed to have the biggest and smoothest screen in its class, with a rumoured size of 6.9 inches. This handset will have a huge 6,300mAh battery, which is said to be the biggest battery available for other 6.9-inch phones. HyperOS 3, which is based on Android 16, will run on the smartphone. It will also include AI capabilities like Google’s Circle to Search and a built-in Gemini voice assistant.

The Redmi A7 Pro 5G will have an unknown octa-core 5G chip inside. A dual AI rear camera system with a 32-megapixel sensor will let you take pictures. AI enhancements like AI Sky will also increase the quality of the images, providing features such as improved colour accuracy and dynamic range for better photography results.
