Samsung announced to integrate Google Gemini on Samsung Galaxy Watch and Buds

The announcement comes after Google announced its in-house technology will be integrated into smartwatches, smart TVs, in-car infotainment systems and more ahead of Google I/O 2025.

Samsung’s wearables now have Gemini, Google’s AI chatbot, which lets users create reminders, summarise texts, and get weather information. This extension of AI capabilities to all Galaxy ecosystem devices, such as the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds 3 series, is a part of Google’s preparation for Google I/O 2025, which will be accessible on smartwatches, smart TVs, in-car infotainment systems, and Android XR-powered headphones and smart glasses as well.

Google Gemini will make its debut on Samsung Galaxy Watches, marking the company’s first wearable integration. The upgrade will expand AI functionality throughout the Galaxy ecosystem, improving the user experience by making activating Gemini easier when connected with the Galaxy Buds3 series.

Gemini on your Galaxy Watch provides hands-free help with natural voice commands, allowing you to be productive on the go. It helps you with workouts and emails, allowing you to focus on your routines uninterrupted. Gemini manages these requests across your apps, allowing you to swiftly review replies before returning to doing your job. This function is very handy for hauling groceries or running errands.
