Samsung Galaxy A56 5G, A36 5G, and A26 5G Debut With AI Features, Better Cameras, and Long-Term Updates

Samsung’s mid-range Galaxy A series finally gets a smart AI upgrade and durability boost.

If you’ve been waiting for AI-powered smartphones under Rs 40,000, Samsung thinks its new Galaxy A56 5G, A36 5G, and A26 5G might just be your next pick. Launched as part of the ever-popular Galaxy A series, these phones are designed to make artificial intelligence feel a little less artificial. Now, you don’t need to shell out flagship money to get smart features like Circle to Search, smarter photo editing, and tools that promise to make your group selfies less awkward.

But AI isn’t the only thing these three are flexing. Samsung is also promising better cameras, longer support, and enough durability to handle life’s occasional coffee spill or accidental drop.

Awesome Intelligence: Now on Budget

For the first time, Samsung has injected its AI features—cheekily branded as “Awesome Intelligence”—into its mid-range A series. Think of it as the affordable sibling to the company’s premium Galaxy S and Fold devices, now offering:

  • Circle to Search: Long-press the navigation bar, circle anything on your screen (even a song), and get instant info without switching apps.
  • Best Face (A56 5G exclusive): Merge the best expressions from a group photo so nobody looks half-asleep.
  • Object Eraser: Zap away photobombers and background clutter like a pro.
  • Custom Filters: Extract colours and styles from your favourite pics and apply them in just a tap.

Cameras That (Finally) Get It

All three phones feature a 50MP main camera, but the A56 5G leads the pack with a 12MP ultra-wide lens and upgraded Nightography. For front-camera fans, the A56 and A36 can record in 10-bit HDR. Translation? Brighter, more detailed selfies, even when you’re stuck in bad lighting.

Built to Last—In More Ways Than One

The Galaxy A56 5G and A36 5G are sporting 6.7-inch Super AMOLED displays with peak brightness up to 1200 nits, plus stereo speakers for your Netflix marathons. Under the hood, you’re getting the Exynos 1580 (A56 5G) and Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 (A36 5G), with vapour chambers to keep things cool when you’re multitasking or gaming.

Battery anxiety? A full 5,000mAh cell with up to 45W fast charging should keep you going.

And when Samsung says “built to last,” they mean it: expect six years of security updates and six generations of Android OS upgrades, plus IP67 dust and water resistance.

Security That’s Actually Is Secure

For the first time on the A series, Samsung’s Knox Vault joins the party. That means your sensitive data stays locked away, with added theft detection, enhanced privacy settings, and even a digital key feature (in select regions).

So, Should You Care?

Honestly, yes. The Galaxy A series has often been the “safe bet” of the smartphone world—good value, and decent specs, but nothing particularly exciting. This year, Samsung is finally giving people a reason to look twice. With AI tools that make daily tasks genuinely easier and support that rivals pricier phones, the A56 5G, A36 5G, and A26 5G feel like the most well-rounded Galaxy A phones yet.
