Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) to reportedly come at this price in India

Last month saw the launch of the world’s first smartphone that comes with four rear cameras, Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018). And this week, the smartphone was spotted on the company’s official website in India.

Although as of now, there is no official word on when the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) will be launched in India, a report that surfaced online claims that the smartphone’s launch event will be held on November 4.

And now a new leak has come in, according to which, Samsung’s website code may have revealed the smartphone’s price in India.

According to a report in 91mobiles, Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) will be priced at Rs 39,000. At this price, the smartphone will compete directly with the recently launched OnePlus 6T smartphone. OnePlus 6T’s base model, that comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, is priced at Rs 37,999 in India.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) bears a price tag of 599 EUR in Europe. After converting, this becomes around Rs 49,740, based on the current exchange rate. However, with savings from local manufacturing, Samsung may be able to deliver the smartphone at Rs 39,000.

To recall the specifications of the smartphone, Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) features a 6.3-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. There is only one 128GB storage option and the smartphone can hold microSD card slots of up to 512GB.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) runs Android Oreo out of the box and houses a 3,800mAh battery that supports fast charging.

Speaking about the cameras of the mobile, Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) is the first ever to come with a quadruple rear camera setup. Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) sports 24MP+10MP+8MP+5MP sensors. While the first one is the main primary camera, the second one is a telephoto lens, the third is an ultra-wide sensor and the fourth one is a depth sensor. They come with f/1.7 aperture, f/2.4 aperture, f/2.4 aperture and f/2.2 aperture respectively. For selfies and video calls, there is a 24MP front shooter that comes with an f/2.0 aperture.
