Samsung Galaxy M40 to go on sale in India today: Price and sale details

Samsung Galaxy M40 smartphone will be going on sale for the first time in India today. The device is the latest in the company’s Galaxy M series and it will be available starting at 12 pm (noon) via Amazon India and Samsung‘s Online Store.

The smartphone comes with features like a triple rear camera setup, a full HD+ display that has screen sound technology and a selfie camera that is embedded in its screen only. Here’s a look at the price, launch offers and specifications of the smartphone:

Samsung Galaxy M40 price in India, sale details

Samsung Galaxy M40 is available in only one variant in India that comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device will be available via Amazon India and Samsung Online Store. It is available in Midnight Blue and Seawater Blue gradient colours. Coming to the launch offers, buyers of Samsung Galaxy M40 will get double benefits from Reliance Jio with Rs 198 and Rs 299 prepaid plans. Buyers on Vodafone and Idea will get a cashback worth Rs 3,750 on getting a recharge of Rs 255. They will also get an additional 0.50 data per day for up to 18 months.

Samsung Galaxy M40 specifications and features

Samsung Galaxy M40 smartphone features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) Infinity-O display and it is powered by octa-core Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 675 SoC paired Adreno 612 GPU. The smartphone packs 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and users can install a microSD card of up to 512GB if they feel they require more storage. The handset runs Android 9 Pie skinned with One UI and it houses a 3,500mAh battery that has the support of 15W fast charging.

For imaging duties, the Samsung Galaxy M40 features a triple-rear camera setup that consists of a 32MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-lens and 5MP depth sensor.

On the front panel of the device, a 16MP camera is housed in a punch-hole setup with an f/2.0 aperture. This can be used for selfies and video calls.

The Samsung Galaxy M40 also has the ‘Screen Sound technology’ that produces sound through vibrations of the display. In other words, the handset comes without an earpiece. There device also has 360-degree surround sound along with Dolby Atmos and Widevine L1 Certification for HD video streaming.
