Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge launch date confirmed for May 13, featuring a 200-megapixel primary camera

The smartphone was showcased at Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona and shown at the Galaxy Unpacked event in January.

Samsung has confirmed the launch date for its Galaxy S25 Edge. Alongside the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, the slimmest flagship phone will be a part of the newest S-Series family. It could have an IP68 rating, Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 display protection, and a titanium centre frame.

It’s official, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will make its global debut on May 13. It will be released at 9 am KST and 05:30 am IST. The gadget was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona and shown at the Galaxy Unpacked event in January. Like the high-end Galaxy S25 Ultra, it will have a 200-megapixel primary back camera and Galaxy AI capabilities, making it the thinnest Galaxy S series phone to date.

“At 5.30 am on May 13, we will introduce the next evolution of the Galaxy. Discover how Galaxy engineers built on years of innovation and visionary thinking shaped by you to reimagine everything you expect from a smartphone” the company said.

However, the phone may not be immediately accessible in all regions. It might go on sale in China and South Korea on May 23, followed by the United States and other regions on May 30th. Preorders are anticipated between May 14 and May 20.

According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, is likely to have a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with 1,440 x 3,120 pixel resolution, a variable 120Hz refresh rate, a 163g weight, and a 5.85mm thickness, making it the thinnest Galaxy S model yet. It is claimed to include a titanium frame with Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 and Victus 2 on the front and back, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and IP68 dust and water resistance.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of on-board storage. It is likely to run Android 15 with One UI 7 and have a dual back camera system with a 200-megapixel primary camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The phone might sport a 12-megapixel front camera for photos and video chats. It may support Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connection, as well as a 3,900mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to cost EUR 1,249 in Germany for the 256GB version and EUR 1,369 for the 512GB version, putting it between the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra in Samsung’s flagship range. It might be offered in Titanium Jetblack, Titanium Icyblue, or Titanium Silver.
