Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 Renders Leak: A Slimmer, Smarter Foldable Future About To Unfold

Official images reveal thinner designs, bigger screens, and next-gen hardware for Samsung’s upcoming foldables.

If you thought foldables were just a passing fad, think again—because the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 renders reveal a new chapter for smartphone innovation, and it’s thinner, lighter, and more ambitious than ever. Samsung’s next-gen foldable duo, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, are set to headline the Summer Unpacked event, and the latest leaks leave little to the imagination. For anyone glued to the ever-evolving world of foldable smartphones, this is the kind of leak that flips the table—quite literally.

Galaxy Z Fold 7: The Thinner, The Better

Let’s cut to the chase. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is here to win over those who crave slim smartphones without sacrificing screen real estate. According to the new renders revealed by Android Headlines, the Fold 7 will land in Blue Shadow and Jet Black, with whispers of more colours ready to spice up the launch.

The big story? Slimness. We’re talking about a device possibly measuring as little as 3.9mm when unfolded, though the more realistic range sits at 4.5mm (blame physics, not ambition). What’s more, Samsung’s redesigned hinge means the Fold 7 could weigh just 215 grams, making it a full 24 grams lighter than the Fold 6, and—wait for it—even lighter than the OPPO Find N5, currently the reigning champion of foldable thinness.

It’s not just about dieting, though. The outer display gets a modest stretch from 6.3 to 6.5 inches, while the main foldable screen grows to a whopping 8.2 inches—now the largest in the foldable arena. Sorry, OPPO Find N5, your 8.12-inch panel just got upstaged.

Galaxy Z Flip 7: Covering More Ground

On to the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which is putting its cover display on full blast. No more peeking through a postage-stamp window—this cover screen spans the entire outer panel, just like the Motorola Razr Ultra. The burning question is whether Samsung will allow users to run full apps here. If so, the multitasking game just went up a notch.

Specs-wise, the Flip 7 isn’t holding back. An overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy (with a beefy Prime core hitting 4.47GHz), up to 12GB RAM, and as much as 512GB storage make this a flagship through and through. The cameras stick to a 50MP main sensor and 12MP ultrawide, while the battery stays put at around 4,000mAh. But what really matters is that this clamshell is both thinner and lighter than ever.

What to Expect at the Summer Unpacked Event

Set your reminders for July 9, when Samsung is expected to roll out the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 at its Summer Unpacked event in New York City. If the official renders are anything to go by, expect a launch heavy on style, substance, and a whole lot of folding action. Official invites should start hitting inboxes soon, so stay tuned for the big reveal.
