Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 Sold Out In Select Indian Markets Amid Record Demand

Samsung's foldable flagship sees unprecedented demand, prompting rapid restocking efforts.

The foldable frenzy in India has officially hit a new peak, with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7 selling out in select markets just days after launch. Amid overwhelming enthusiasm, India’s tech-savvy consumers have snapped up the premium foldable device, pushing it into short supply. The Galaxy Z Fold7, celebrated as the brand’s thinnest and lightest foldable yet, weighing merely 215 grams, has undoubtedly become the latest tech sensation in the foldable smartphone market.

Samsung India reported an astounding 210,000 pre-orders within the first 48 hours for its seventh-generation foldables, including the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, and Galaxy Z Flip7 FE. This signals not just growing acceptance but an increasing mainstream appeal of foldable smartphones in the country.

“We’re working overtime to ensure our most advanced smartphone reaches consumers swiftly,” said Raju Pullan, Senior VP of MX Business at Samsung India. He acknowledged the stock shortage across both retail outlets and online platforms.

Retail giants have echoed the high consumer enthusiasm. Nilesh Gupta, Director at Vijay Sales, remarked that key city outlets witnessed extraordinary demand, quickly exhausting their inventory. Similarly, Sandeep Singh Jolly, COO at Electronics Mart India Ltd (Bajaj Electronics), observed strong sales performance across major urban centres, further underscoring the trend towards foldables.

Uvaraj Natarajan, CEO at Poorvika Mobiles, reinforced the sentiment, stating, “Stocks are getting liquidated as soon as they are delivered.”

Technical innovation is fueling consumer interest. The Galaxy Z Fold7 boasts a host of cutting-edge features:
