Samsung launched its new fitness smart band Galaxy Fit2 in India

The device offers up to 15 days of battery life

Last month the South Korean Brand, Samsung, hosted the Life Unstoppable virtual event during which it introduced a host of products including the Samsung Galaxy Fit2 fitness tracker. This is the company’s first fitness smart band that is slim and has a lightweight design. Over that, it comes with a long battery life plus a host of advanced tracking features on it.

In addition to this, there is a Hand Wash feature on the device that reminds the users to wash or clean their hands at regular intervals, which is a very useful feature in the times of Coronavirus pandemic. Also when washing, you don’t need to take off the band as it is 5ATM certified for water as well as sweat resistance that makes it useful for water sports. With the launch of Galaxy Fit2 the company aims to take on other brands such as Xiaomi, Huawei and more.

Samsung Galaxy Fit2 price and availability

Samsung Galaxy Fit2 price in India has been set at Rs 3,999, The device will be available in two colour options Black and Scarlet. The smart band is now available for purchase via e-commerce website Amazon, Samsung.com, and select offline retailers in the country.

The Galaxy Fit2 features a 1.1” AMOLED with 3D curved glass. It offers a peak brightness of 450 nits. It also includes 70 downloadable watch faces options to personalise the looks as well as functions as per liking. The front touch key on the smart band lets you navigate, wake up, home and allows you to cancel while also offering pre-set for replies to notifications and setting up of 12 dedicated widgets at a time.

The Samsung smart band also allows the user to track five automatic workouts such as calories burned, heart rate, distance and more as well as up to 90 workouts with pre-setting from the Samsung Health library. It also comes with a sleep monitoring feature that can track the user’s sleeping pattern with daily analysis and a Sleep Score.

The Sleep Score analyses the sleep pattern through four stages of sleep- Awake, REM, Light and Deep, sharing insights that help users rest better and get more out of their day. Whereas the Hand Wash feature reminds users to keep their hands clean throughout the day while also suggesting a breathing guide in case of high-stress moments.

The device comes with a 5ATM rating (50m water resistance) which makes it resistant to sweat as well as water. There is a Water Lock mode on the fitness tracker that makes Galaxy Fit2 perfect for Water Lock mode makes Galaxy Fit2 perfect.

For long-lasting battery life, there is a 159mAh battery that lasts up to 15 days on a single charge.
