Samsung One UI 7 stable update brings LOG Video Recording and more

The latest update offers custom AI filters for the Galaxy S24 series and older models.

In South Korea, Samsung has made the One UI 7 stable upgrade available for the Galaxy S24 series and other older phones. Users may now record videos with a logarithmic colour profile thanks to the update’s support for LOG video recording. Motion Photos, 10-bit HDR video, and AI-powered custom filters are among the new features available to users. Along with other AI capabilities, the upgrade includes Portrait Studio and Audio Eraser.

The One UI 7 upgrade, which Samsung has announced, now supports LOG video recording. The Galaxy S25 already supports this capability, and owing to performance constraints, some models will be able to use it. The Galaxy S24 series is one of the supported devices. Easy colour correction and post-editing to user preferences is made possible by the back camera’s support for log video, which allows for colour, exposure, and contrast modifications. Under the Advanced video option in the camera app settings, Galaxy users may activate a new capability.

Samsung Log’s Shooting Assistance Function (Exposure Monitor) is a new feature in the update that makes it simple to monitor exposure in Pro video mode. In pro video mode, it displays an exposure monitor to track exposure levels.

With the release of the One UI 7 stable update, Motion Photo functionality will also be available for models such as the Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, and Z Flip 6. It employs VDIS technology to reduce shaking and shows 1.5 seconds of footage before and after the shooting button. Additionally, the devices will accommodate telephoto and ultra-wide lenses, allowing for the use of a variety of lenses for slow-motion photography.

With the Galaxy S23/S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5/6, Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, Galaxy Z Flip 5/6, and Galaxy Tab S9/S10 series cameras, users will be able to access AI to recommend the best one, with up to 5 people recommended.

The One UI 7 upgrade will also include the Audio Eraser, a professional editing tool that lets users eliminate loud noises and distinguish sound sources in videos. Voice, Music, Wind, Crowd, Nature, and Noise are the six distinct categories it delivers. After clicking the Edit button in the gallery, the “Audio” menu will open with the audio eraser, which is based on the sound that was analysed. Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Tab S10 series are among the devices it supports.

Another feature on the list that comes with the One UI 7 upgrade is Auto Trim. By pressing “Go to Studio” after selecting the menu icon at the bottom of the gallery, users can edit videos using this Galaxy Studio function. Clicking “Start New Project” allows users to add the desired video to an existing project or start a new one. Additionally, users may choose any one video, edit all clips without choosing a specific video, or utilise the “Auto Cut” tool to trim videos while leaving only the highlight portion. This functionality will be supported for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Tab S10 series.
