Samsung rolls out One UI 8 Watch update with Wear OS 6 features for Galaxy Watch Ultra

The upgrade is part of Samsung's first significant Wear OS software update, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra will get it before previous versions.

Wear OS 6 features are now available on Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Ultra thanks to the One UI 8 Watch update. The Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic can get the upgrade, which is based on Google’s Wear OS 6 software. Older models, including the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch 6 series, will not receive it.

Samsung’s One UI 8 Watch Update for Galaxy Watch Ultra

With the release of the One UI 8 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch Ultra, Samsung has added an intuitive interface along with motivational health features. Through motivational insights, the update offers users features like Vascular Load, Antioxidant Index, and Running Coach to help them develop better, healthier habits.

The One UI 8 Watch optimises the user interface to provide easy access to key information on a screen the size of a wristwatch. Multi-Info Tiles offer customisable views of weather and health metrics, and Bar 3 guarantees accessibility. The strong performance and robustness of the Galaxy Watch Ultra are flawlessly complemented by these features.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra features a 1.5-inch circular Super AMOLED display, a 47mm dial, and a titanium case. It is rated IP6X for dust resistance, 10ATM for water resistance, and MIL-STD 810H for durability. The watch includes 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It has a Quick Button for activating sports modes and an SOS siren. The watch can use L1 and L5 GPS frequencies. Fall detection, sleep tracking, high stress alert, running coach, and Energy Score are key health and wellness features that analyse user indications using Galaxy AI algorithms.

Additionally, the watch provides blood pressure, heart rate, vascular load, an ECG sensor, and an antioxidant index. The watch can be used for up to 48 hours in Exercise Power Saving Mode and 100 hours in full Power Saving Mode thanks to its 590mAh battery and wireless fast charging capability.
