Samsung, today announced that the One UI 6.1 upgrade will expand the availability of Galaxy AI features to additional devices within the Galaxy ecosystem. As per the company, the rollout will be accessible for the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Tab S9 series.
Users of the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Tab S9 series will now be able to benefit from Galaxy AI features. The devices will now include capabilities of Note Assist, Circle to Search, and Live Translate, among others, thanks to the release of the One UI 6.1 upgrade.
The latest update is a significant update to the One UI 6.0, which was based on Android 14 and released in October 2023. According to Samsung One UI 6.1 update will be rolled out from today and April is when the majority of users should start to receive the update.
“The broader integration of Galaxy AI across the Galaxy ecosystem also enables a seamless user experience in day-to-day tasks on AI-supported models, driving new levels of efficiency,” the company in its announcement said.
Users will now be able to utilise features like Circle to Search, which allows them to simply circle, highlight or tap any image on their display and conduct a visual search on Google, while still within the app.

Live Translate is an additional function that facilitates real-time voice and text translations of phone calls, making it easier than ever to book reservations while travelling or chat with your grandparents in their native language during phone calls.
The One UI 6.1 upgrade will also bring Samsung’s AI-powered photo editing feature, Generative Edit allowing users to resize position and align objects even after the photo is taken. Edit Suggestion gives you your photo editor that uses AI to suggest perfectly suitable tweaks for each photo.

Through a user-friendly split-screen view, the Interpreter can interpret live conversations quickly, enabling persons seated across from one another to read a text translation of the other’s words. Whereas Transcript Assist summarises, translates, and even transcribes voice recordings using AI and Speech-to-Text technology. Browsing Assist saves your time and keeps you informed by generating concise summaries of news articles or web pages.
