Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra has made an early appearance online, with a retail unit reportedly purchased

The privacy screen is seen as a hidden feature that Samsung plans to unveil during the event, signalling a concerted attempt to entice people interested in personalised privacy settings.

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra is garnering hype ahead of the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, notably for its rumoured privacy screen feature. This feature enables users to select specific apps for more privacy, suggesting a major improvement in user control over personal data. Surprisingly, a YouTuber apparently bought the Galaxy S26 Ultra ahead of its official debut, sparking speculation regarding this unique feature. This early retail unit reveals the much-anticipated privacy screen, which Samsung had previously kept under wraps for the launch.

Sahil Karoul, a YouTuber, claims to have got the next Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra for AED 12,000 that translates to Rs 2,96,000 before to its official release. He posted photographs of the gadget, comparing its dimensions and design to the iPhone 17 Pro Max, Vivo X300 Pro, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. According to reports, the Galaxy S26 Ultra would be identical in size to its predecessor, with a white colour, flat back panel, and metal frame. It has a quad back camera system encased in a pill-shaped module and might include a relocated S Pen slot. Karoul also said that the S Pen may lack Bluetooth connectivity, since the previous iteration, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, was missing these features.

In another tweet Sahil Karoul showcased the novel privacy screen function. When enabled, this function dramatically improves user privacy by making content on the display difficult to see from the sides, making it seem dimmed or hidden to people watching. Notably, the primary user has a clear view of the display from the front. Samsung’s approach to creating this privacy screen is speculated to be based on software solutions that control pixel brightness and light direction, allowing for viewing angle limitations without the need for an extra external screen protector.

Aside from that, Samsung shared a YouTube teaser emphasising the AI content creation capabilities of its next Galaxy smartphones. Key capabilities illustrated include easy picture editing that can turn photographs from day to night in seconds, the ability to restore missing portions in images (such as bits cut out of cakes), and the ability to merge multiple pictures into a single image using voice commands. A second teaser shows a ‘zero-peeking’ privacy display designed for the Galaxy S26 series, as seen on a metro train. The commercial phrase “Can your phone do that?” emphasises the goal of simplifying creativity by enabling sophisticated editing capabilities for cinematic videos, celestial tracking, and low-light photography.
